Brooke Barry is a writer, comedian, and successful loser from South Georgia. She grew up on a farm where she was raised by dogs, which is why she has issues with codependency and drooling. Her storytelling approach to a life of tragedy turned comedy is the essence of her performances. From irrational fears, to life in a trailer park, to being kidnapped and living out of a semi-truck when she was 10 years old, her stories are as funny as they are absurd. Soteria CDC is celebrating the community and individuals we serve as we work to create economic and social justice for individuals and families impacted by the criminal justice system by providing housing, education, employment, advocacy, and affirmation for previously incarcerated individuals. We are hosting a fundraiser and celebration on October 23rd, 2025 in recognition of our 26 years of service that will include a combination of storytelling, art, and music, as we unite the community around the importance of supporting and dignifying those reentering society.
Join us on Thursday, October 24 at 1800 Drayton for Bacon & Barrel — a lively evening of bourbon tastings, bacon-inspired bites from local restaurants, live music, and a curated silent auction, all in support of St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic. This beloved annual fundraiser helps provide free, high-quality healthcare to uninsured residents of Spartanburg County.
Tickets include access to bourbon samples, food tastings, and entertainment. Proceeds go directly toward sustaining our clinic’s mission of compassionate care for those who need it most.

The Art of Tamada: A Georgian Feast and Cultural Celebration in Greenville
Greenville, SC — First Things Foundation and Keipi Restaurant, with ticketing by Trueline, invite the community to experience The Art of Tamada, Greenville’s most unique culinary and cultural celebration, taking place October 24–25 at Hampton Station. This two-day fundraiser blends Georgian tradition, live music, and community connection, supporting First Things Foundation’s humanitarian work around the globe.
At the heart of the event is the Supra, a traditional Georgian feast led by a Tamada (toastmaster), who guides guests through stories, blessings, and toasts, turning the table into a space of meaning and connection. Guests will enjoy multi-course dinners, live performances, and the warmth of Georgian hospitality.
Weekend Highlights:
Friday, Oct. 24: Supra tables, live DJ music, dancing, axe throwing, picnics on the green, and more.
Saturday, Oct. 25: Supra tables, speaker sessions, live DJ sets, and live music from Georgia Heers, Emmet Sher, and Dirt Poor Robins, alongside axe throwing, picnics, and plenty of Mshvidoba (Georgian for “peace”).
Saturday Evening – Taste of Keipi Live Music Session: Guests can enjoy a free evening of wine tastings, small bites inspired by the Supra, and live music, showcasing the heart of Keipi, where food, wine, and music meet.
Each Supra table seats 18–22 guests, with tickets available for singles, couples, private groups, and businesses. Every ticket supports First Things Foundation’s mission to serve the extreme poor across four continents.
This is a one-hour immersive ceremony where sound and skin art unfold in real time.
As Callie Adams plays crystal singing bowls live, the space is filled with vibration and intention. Henna artist Art Nehart tunes into the energy, creating intuitive designs flowing like vines across the skin.
You may choose to receive henna or simply rest in the sonic field.
All participants are held in a space of beauty, breath, and belonging.
To preserve the intimacy of this offering, advance registration is required.

Celebrate the launch of Glory Day x Briton Court with a private reception featuring cocktails and curated hors d’oeuvres. This special night honors their shared hometown roots while introducing a new chapter in elevated style. Actor and comedian Jamie Lissow is currently a regular weekly guest on the #1
rated late night talk show, Gutfeld! on Fox. Jamie is best known for his starring
role in two seasons of the Netflix Original Series “Real Rob”, alongside SNL
alums Rob Schneider, Adam Sandler, Norm MacDonald and David Spade; a show
Jamie co-wrote and co-produced. Jamie has appeared on The Tonight Show, The
Late Late Show, Last Comic Standing, has his own half hour Comedy Central
special and a Dry Bar Comedy Special with over 20 Million views. Jamie recently
wrapped his first movie, Daddy Daughter Trip, where he appears alongside John
Cleese, Rob Schneider, and Micheal Bublé – a movie he co-wrote and produced.

The Ring focuses on Arnon Noble, a religious man with a strong bond to his mother, a Holocaust survivor. He usually drives her to school lectures where she tells the students how she saved the lives of her baby boy and herself with the help of a thin gold ring. When the mother’s health deteriorates, he travels to her old hometown, Budapest to search for the mythological ring that saved her life in the past.
He turns to his estranged daughter, who is a TV researcher, for help and invites her to share the journey. Will the search for the ring be successful? Will the ring save the mother’s life again and will the same ring that saved her mother also succeed in saving Arnon’s relationship with his own daughter?

Garrison Keillor Tonight is an evening of stand-up, storytelling, audience song, and poetry. One man, one microphone. There are sung sonnets, limericks, and musical jokes, and the thread that runs through it is the beauty of growing old. Despite the inconvenience, old age brings the contentment of LESS IS MORE.
Your mistakes and big ambitions are behind you, nothing left to prove, and small things give you great pleasure because that’s what’s left. (“I was unhappy in college because it was a requirement for an ntellectual, but then I went into show business and discovered that people won’t pay to be made inhappy; their kids will do it for free.”)
There is the News from Lake Wobegon, a town booming with new entrepreneurs, makers of artisanal firewood and gourmet meatloaf, breeders of composting worms, and dogs trained to do childcare. But some things endure, such as the formation of the Living Flag on Main Street, citizens in tight formation wearing red, white, or blue caps, and Mr. Keillor among them, standing close to old neighbors, Myrtle Krebsbach (“Truckstop”) and Julie Christensen (“Bruno, The Fishing Dog”) and Clint Bunsen. And an a – cappella sing-along with the audience singing from memory an odd medley of patriotic songs, pop standards, hymns, and ending with the national anthem.
