Our annual Train Day event attracts hundreds of visitors

The Virtual Railfan cameras were installed on Tuesday, July 6th at the Hub City Railroad Museum. There is one camera looking north and one looking south. The Hub City RR Museum wants to thank the City of Spartanburg for allowing us to install the cameras, and to Virtual Railfan for the install. We have already seen over 300 railfans at one time watching the video feed.

The 2022 Greenville City 9/11 Memorial Stairclimb will be on Saturday , September 10th! 9/10/22.
Please help share and spread the word! We will share information for registration and sponsorship information on here.
Come join us to Climb in a way to Honor & Remember those lost on September 11th.

All proceeds go to National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in support of the families lost on 9/11.

The NFFF 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs is a way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on September 11, 2001. Each participant pays tribute to a FDNY firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of a FDNY brother, but symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows we will never forget.

The Stair Climbs fund the programs provided by the NFFF to support the families of your local fallen firefighters and the FDNY Counseling Services Unit.

Health Festival–Festival de la Salud

Join our Health team at our Health Festival on Saturday, September 10th! In this celebration of health, community members will have the opportunity to meet local health providers, get screenings done, learn about active living activities such as Spanish yoga classes, enjoy arts & crafts for kids and much more!

Bon Secours St. Francis Mammography Unit will be on site. We have a limited number of appointments available to females age 40 and older that are due for their annual screening and 35-40 years old needing a baseline mammogram. To secure an appointment please call 864-675-4875.

TABLE EXHIBITORS ARE WELCOME! We welcome organizations and agencies that provide services related to health in our community to participate in our festival. Rock Out Hunger 2022

What if we could replace the growl of empty stomachs with the growl of an audience for just one night? Join Loaves & Fishes Greenville as we rock out to reduce hunger on Saturday, September 10th, at the Radio Room.

Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm. Tickets available now. $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Thanks to friends at the Radio Room Greenville, this year’s Rock Out Hunger benefit concert line-up is 100% local and 100% fresh. Featuring psychedelic songsters Brother Oliver, energetic rockers Her Pilots, and singer songwriters Barryle and Mourning Dove.

100% of the proceeds from Rock Out Hunger will be put to immediate use this year rescuing food in Greenville County. The 2022 Rock Out Hunger benefit concert is generously supported by our friends at the Radio Room Greenville, Dodge Industries, Iron Hill Brewery, Southern First, the Swamp Rabbits, and Piedmont Natural Gas.

Keeping our pantry stocked, organized, and ready for food orders would not be possible without YOU. Thank you! We are looking for RENEW Class Instructors and Facilitators. Our RENEW program allows for community members to attend free classes and earn rewards that can be used in our monthly pop-up thrift store or towards our Christmas program. Mill Village Farms’ FoodShare Greenville is a fresh food box program in partnership with FoodShareSC that is working to make it easier for families in our community to enjoy fresh fruits & vegetables. Double Your Donation: September to Honor Childhood Cancer, Sickle Cell Disease Awareness w/ The Blood Connection

The Blood Connection-Greenville

Those who donate with The Blood Connection, the non-profit community blood center, are directly impacting the lives of people in this community; people like children battling cancer, or a neighbor suffering from Sickle Cell Disease. Those people rely on community blood donors every day to ensure lifesaving blood products needed for treatments are available in local hospitals. That is why TBC is partnering with local and national organizations to shed light on Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Sickle Cell Awareness Month.

Both causes have a close tie to blood centers, as blood products are vital for the treatment and management of these diseases. TBC’s September campaign will give community members an opportunity to double their donation by donating blood to the community and donating their reward points to organizations that support childhood cancer and sickle cell patients.

TBC is also looking for organizations, companies, and groups to host blood drives to benefit these causes.
Blood drive coordinators can pick local chapters and organizations, and TBC will make a monetary donation
per donor. To speak with a TBC representative about hosting a blood drive in September, go to
