Our fun-for-all-ages botanical model train displays invite you to experience our grounds in an engaging new way. Located in the Conservatory in the Walled Garden, the displays feature replicas of structures connected with Biltmore and its founder George Vanderbilt. Each beautifully executed piece was handcrafted from such natural elements as leaves, bark, and twigs.
In compliance with state and local mandates related to COVID-19, all guests must enter the Conservatory via the ADA entrance in the back and follow a one-way route.

To help those needing assistance, the BMW CCA Foundation Museum is partnering with the Greer Community Ministries. By bringing containerized food to the Museum, visitors will receive a heavily discounted admission and the food will go to a good cause – helping the hungry.
The Greer Community Ministries aids those needing food and clothing. They also run a Meals on Wheels service to over 350 homes daily. And they share their food with other food organizations to help those needing a hand.
The BMW CCA Foundation has the mission of Saving History and Saving Lives. The Foundation houses over 75,000 BMW items and is the largest archive outside of Munich, Germany, the BMW AG headquarters. They save lives through a Street Survival program, a teen driving program that has taught almost 30,000 teens to be better drivers. Teens learn advanced car handling skills and prepare for emergencies by driving with increased awareness and gain techniques to help in unusual circumstances.
The current museum exhibition, called GENESIS: BMW From the Beginning, has the most comprehensive collection of older BMW cars and motorcycles in the US, including the oldest known BMW car in the US, along with many pre-war and post-war vehicles.
Downtown trolleys add to the excitement and enjoyment of Greenville’s Main Street experience. The red and blue open-air trolleys offer a vintage look and feel complete with a cow catcher on the front and wooden bench seats inside. Trolleys are wheelchair accessible and are equipped with bicycle racks.

January 16 – April 17, 2021
Lucy first pulled the football away from Charlie Brown on November 16, 1952. Known as “The Fall Classic” it became a rite of autumn in American pop culture. The annual “pulling away of the football” was shown nearly every year through the run of the Peanuts comic strip. Artist Charles M. Schulz created nearly 50 years of unique endings to the famous football gag.
The Upcountry History Museum in partnership with the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center will host Pigskin Peanuts, a retrospective exhibition that examines Schulz’s love of the game. Greenville, South Carolina will be the final stop on the Pigskin Peanuts international tour.
The 3000 square foot exhibit showcases Peanuts football-themed comic strips, artifacts and ephemera to illustrate how sports, specifically football, evolved and played a role in the Peanuts comics.
Charlie Brown’s missed kick wasn’t the only Peanuts football story. The exhibition, divided into five sections, examines the evolution of football in the Peanuts stories including Vintage Pigskin, The Fall Classic, Snoopy’s Gridiron Tales, Woodstock Plays Football, and Girls Rule (Sally, Peppermint Patty and Marcie).
Please bring an Easter basket to hold your eggs! Hunt areas are divided by age groups (Toddler area, Ages 2-5, Ages 6-12). The Bunny hides his eggs in our 100-acre field, so there’s lots of room for eggs and fun! Each child collects 12 eggs (filled with candy). Prize eggs can be turned in for prizes at the designated table.
Just for Toddlers: Our little visitors (under age 2) may hunt eggs in the Toddler Area at any time (not scheduled). The Bunny will be “hiding” unfilled plastic eggs for these little ones!
Wishing you a hoppy Easter! We welcome you and your family to Denver Downs Farm for a springtime event that celebrates Easter! Join us for activities, games, Easter egg hunts, Easter Bonnet contests, food and more!

| Water has often been rightly described as the integral ingredient of life and at Davis and Shirtliff, all efforts have been made to improving the quality and management of this precious resource. Through the #ImprovingLives Initiative launched in 2020, the company and its partners have implemented 295 water projects across the region, improving 658,000 lives in the process. The availability of clean water is known to transform societies in terms of health, education, and economic prosperity and for this reason, World Water Day is observed annually by the UN in order to highlight the importance of sustainably managed freshwater. In commemoration of World Water Day 2021, the D&S #ImprovingLives initiative has solarized a water project in Kunchu community, Kajiado County that will benefit over 1,800 community members and particularly women who previously had to walk 34kms to access safe water for their daily use. The handing over of the water project was celebrated in a colorful ceremony, captured on video and available to view.
What does water mean to you? To Davis & Shirtliff, water is an integral ingredient for life. To commemorate World Water Day 2021, we upgraded the Kunchu Community borehole to a hybrid solar system. The 1,800 member community used to rely on a diesel generator to pump water, using over 70 litres of fuel a week. With the new solar powered system they no longer need to spend money on diesel and instead can harness the power of the sun for free. At Davis and Shirtliff, we dedicate our efforts to improving the quality and management of this priceless resource. Through its #ImprovingLives Initiative, Davis and Shirtliff has implemented 295 water projects, improving 658,000 lives. |
