Your Greenville Symphony pulls out all the festive stops to ring in the season. You’d never guess Holiday at Peace has been going strong for decades, because she’s as fresh as ever with nationally renowned soloists and a joyful showcase of the best local talent. The orchestra, vocalists, and dancers weave a narrative celebrating the magic of the season.

Join us at Furman University’s McAlister Auditorium on Sunday, December 8 at 3pm for the Carolina Youth Symphony Holiday Concert! Conducted by R. Alexander Spainhour, James F. Kilgus, and Ginger R. Greer, the Holiday Concert will feature the Symphony, Concert and Repertory Orchestras performing works by Anderson, Balmages, Bizet, Cerulli, Tchaikovsky, and Vaughn-Williams.
We are excited to offer this free concert as a gift to the community and sincerely appreciate the Rotary Club of the Reedy River Greenville’s generous sponsorship.
Vee Popat currently serves as Director of the Fine Arts Center – South Carolina’s first visual and performing arts high school, working with a team with world-class teaching artists, providing pre-professional education for students in Architecture, Creative Writing, Concert Dance, Digital Filmmaking, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. He has 20 years of experience in the public schools, with 9 of them in Administration.

The Greenville Gay Men’s Chorus is celebrating the holidays with two performances of “A Gay Happy Meeting” on Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11, 7:00 p.m. at downtown’s Greenville Theatre.

According to Artistic Director Shelton Ridge Love, “We’ve included every holiday song we could think of that has the word ‘gay’ in it. The evening will be a raucous and fun time, just as the name suggests.”
The family-friendly concert will appeal to a wide variety of tastes, with arrangements of holiday classics such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” unexpected favorites like ABBA’s “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme a Man After Midnight,” and original works as well. The 35-member TTBB chorus will again be joined in this performance by a band and dancers—and will also feature a brass quintet to herald in the festive season.
Greenville Theatre is located at 444 College Street downtown in the Heritage Green cultural complex.

Join storied Nashville singer-songwriter and author Andrew Peterson as he presents the Advent song cycle Behold the Lamb of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of Christ. Now in its 25th year, Behold the Lamb will feature special guest artists Jess Ray, The Arcadian Wild, Andrew Osenga, Andy Gullahorn, Jill Phillips, and Skye Peterson. The concert brings the singing and playing of Peterson’s original folk-roots infused rendition of the Christmas story as it is foreshadowed in the Old Testament and brought to bear in the New.
