This family-friendly event in Greenville, SC has something for fans of all ages—from the top creators in comics and celebrity guests, to toys, collectibles, and cosplayers… plus plenty of events and contests for the kids.

On Saturday, April 12th, cyclists can choose from 33, 43, 65, or 100-mile routes that wind through serene marshlands, lush woodlands, and the tranquil roads of the Francis Marion National Forest. Riders will enjoy a supportive experience with pace groups and a celebratory post-ride lunch to wrap up the day. The adventure continues on Sunday, April 13th, with two bonus ride options: a 42-mile scenic road ride (with a 27-mile option) that tours downtown Charleston, crosses the Ravenel Bridge, and showcases picturesque coastal views, or a 30-mile gravel ride through the rugged beauty of Francis Marion National Forest. Please note that Sunday rides are unsupported, so participants should bring water and snacks.
Proceeds from Ride the Lowcountry 2025 support local cycling advocacy organizations, Charleston Moves and the Palmetto Cycling Coalition, as well as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in their fight to end MS. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just beginning your journey, this event promises a weekend of camaraderie, challenge, and purpose.

Join us for Empower Hour, a one-hour program and facility tour where you will experience firsthand the YWCA’s work to bridge gaps in earning power, education, health & wellness and access to childcare.
Empower Hours take place twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at 11:30 am.

We need your help controlling invasive species at Anderson’s beloved Rocky River Nature Park!
About the park: This free and publicly accessible park is a 131.9-acre property that was protected in 2016 in partnership with Anderson University. Throughout the park, visitors enjoy a matrix of bottomland forest and beaver-maintained wetlands which hosts over 168 species of passerine and migratory birds throughout the year. A population of the rare Swamp Rabbit (Sylvilagus palustris) is also known to inhabit the floodplain forests of the park.
Workday activities: This year marks the second year of active habitat restoration at the park. The primary activity of this workday will involve removing invasive species such as invasive olive and Chinese Privet to enhance foraging and nesting areas for native wildlife and migratory species.
What to wear and bring: Participants should wear long pants, close-toed shoes and gear that you don’t mind getting dirty in. We will provide tools and gloves, but volunteers are more than welcome to bring their favorite gardening gloves, loppers or saws!

Are you looking for an excuse to knit or crochet for a good cause? Help make baby hats and blankets and adult hats, scarves, and slippers to support at-risk newborns and homeless adults. Your handmade knitwear will keep our neighbors warm. Volunteers with basic skills in knitting or crocheting are welcome. Please bring your own needles or crochet hooks and a pattern.

TJC Gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, 12 to 4 PM, with free admission. This exhibition celebrates the twin expressions of human excellence—art and athletics—each requiring creativity, elegance, and mastery of form. Just as art can reflect as well as shape the culture around it, sports provide powerful community bonds and a sense of identity. Art of the Athlete highlights the artistry inherent in athleticism and showcases the many dynamic connections between art and sport.
On display are artworks showing the remarkable breadth of the world of sport, spanning not only familiar professional forms such as baseball and football but also fishing, hunting, and racing. In certain cases, the connection between art and athletics can be quite personal and literal, as in the case of Ernie Barnes, who not only played in the National Football League himself, but became the official artist of both the NFL and the 1984 Olympic Games.
