Located within the wildly-popular and botanically beautiful Southern Appalachian Mountains, The North Carolina Arboretum offers more than 10 miles of hiking trails that connect to many other area attractions such as Lake Powhatan, the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visitors of all ages and abilities can enjoy their hiking experience at the Arboretum as trail options include easy, moderate, and difficult challenge levels. All trails are dog-friendly and visitors are asked to adhere to the proper waste disposing procedures for pets.

Skill-building and community-building for toddlers and their caregivers! Little ones ages 2-5 will explore role-playing, storytelling, and interactive activities, fostering early social skills and a world of make-believe adventures that could include an ice cream shop, car wash or post office!

Christmas at the Farm is an ALL INCLUSIVE Christmas experience, made for the whole family, full of fun holiday activities, all centered around picking out your Christmas tree. Each ticket includes the following: Unlimited Hot Chocolate, Unlimited S’mores, TCMU Arts & Crafts, Escape Room, Photo Booth, Yard Games, “Chalk Talk” Station, Playground Access, Vendor and Food Truck Access, Parking, Live Music and so much more! Listen, respond and imagine during Story Time & More! Young learners can listen and respond to a story and participate in enrichment activities designed to ignite fun, discovery and learning.

Winter Lights is a spectacular open-air walk-through light show made from over one million lights! Located at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, North Carolina, this year’s event features favorites like the famously tall 50-foot lighted tree and the Quilt Garden, along with enchanting new details designed to delight and surprise. All prices are per vehicle. No pets allowed.

Winter Lights features live entertainment nightly and food and beverages from the Bent Creek Bistro, the Cocoa Shack and the Cocoa Cabin! Open nightly from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

On exhibit Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m., Rocky Cove Railroad is a G-Scale (garden scale) model train that demonstrates the coming of trains to western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibit is located below the Grand Promenade. Please note, Rocky Cove Railroad will not operate in rainy or wet conditions.

Do you love the Christmas holidays? Do you enjoy singing with friends?  Vocal Matrix Chorus invites women of all ages and girls 14+ to sing with us this holiday season. Come to our Monday night rehearsals and learn well known seasonal songs, in 4 part harmony – barbershop style.  We will provide the music and learning tracks so you can also practice between rehearsals.
Then on December 14th perform with us during our Vocal Matrix Christmas Show. Invite your friends and family to celebrate the season and share the holiday spirit – admission is free!
