Faith Memorial Chapel, Cedar Mountain, NC-The Reverend Dr. Leland Holland, Rocky Hill Baptist Church, Cedar Mountain Mountain,NC wii preach this Sunday May 26th at 11:00.
The Reverend Holland pastored four churches in Missouri and Indiana prior to his service at Faith Memorial Chapel. Music will be provided by the Rocky Hill Baptist Choir.

Author Tilly Culbertson will be celebrating the launch of her new children’s book, The Back to God Game, at Fiction Addiction on Saturday, October 5th, from 11:00am-1:00pm. This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served. Morris Bryan, the inventor of the Garden Tower, which is featured in The Back to God Game, will also be on hand to answer questions. Grab your free ticket now!
The cemetery is of historic significance, with graves of men and women whose names are
written in the history books of South Carolina and the United States. First Families of the early
years of our country, descendants of signers of the Declaration of Independence, influential
politicians of the 19th century, military leaders and others of note are buried in the churchyard.
The tour will last about an hour, Please wear comfortable shoes.

Furman’s Office of Spiritual Life presents its annual Love Feast service Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 p.m. in Daniel Memorial Chapel on campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Based on shared feast traditions that date to the early church, the Love Feast celebrates the Christian season of Advent, the time of anticipating the Christ child. Amid the glow of beeswax candles, congregants will be served sweetened buns and coffee in the Moravian tradition, one of the oldest Protestant denominations in the world.
Attendees will participate and share in a cultural touchstone of the Christian tradition, both liturgically and musically during the Love Feast. Curated songs and hymns typically describe love and harmony. Advent and Christmas music will be provided by the Chancel Musicians, an instrumental and vocal ensemble of Furman students, led by Abbie Schlichtmann ’20 and organist Jamisen Collier ’20.

Greenville author Catherine Skinner Powell will be celebrating the launch of her new book, Make Your Home in My Love, at Fiction Addiction on Saturday, February 8th, from 11:00am-1:00pm. This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

Facilitated by a jazz quintet of Greg, vocalist Dawn Anthony and friends, the music and stories explore doing justice and building community among the master improvisers who live on the margins of our cities.

We would like to invite you to come part of our first annual Champions Club Walk and Roll Resource Fair. The mission of the Walk and Roll is to connect parents and caregivers of children, teens and adults with special needs with local resources that can provide a variety of services for them. This amazing event will be held on March 28, 2020 at Beech Springs Church from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There will be food for sale as well as some vendors on had may have items for sale. So don’t forget to bring a little cash.
Do You Have 2020 Vision? | 2020 Women’s Conference
We are pleased to announce the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church 2020 Women’s Conference, focused on Empowering Women Through Education and Encouragement. The event is hosted by the Women’s Ministry and will be held on April 24 – 26, 2020 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 1101 Roe Ford Rd, Greenville, SC.
On Friday evening, April 24th, we will take a trip Back to Eden with a special time of prayer and small group discussion regarding the importance of prayer and being still in God’s presence. On Saturday, April 25th, we will check our vision together, as we attend the following three breakout sessions:
o Optical Illusion | The Things Which Are Seen Are Not Made of Things Visible
o Point of Perspective | Who Do You Say I Am?
o Corrective Lens | Turn My Eyes from Worthless Things
We will conclude the weekend with a special service on Sunday, April 26th with guest speaker Minister Lois R. Durrah of New Hope Christian Church, Spartanburg, SC.
