From Oct. 4 through 12, guests enjoy short, guided nature walks that highlight Grandfather Mountain’s fall colors. The Fall Color Rambles take place daily, weather permitting, and are included in your admission ticket. The short excursions begin at 1 p.m. and typically last for 30 minutes. Rambles will start outside the entrance of the Wilson Center for Nature Discovery.

Grandfather Mountain is home to myriad species of plants and hardwood trees that range from pumpkin-colored beech trees to blood-red sourwoods and rusty red oaks. During the daily rambles, guests learn all about the mountain’s unique biodiversity and the science behind the changing of the leaves.

Participants can become familiar with tree identification, as the mountain’s talented and knowledgeable educators and interpretive park guides venture out with guests to some of the most colorful destinations on the mountain.

Explore the haunted heart of Spartanburg on a spine-tingling walking tour led by psychic medium and paranormal magician Isaak Ivey. You explore local landmarks and hear stories from Magnolia Cemetery, Converse College, Morgan Square, and other Spartanburg landmarks. A member of Truth Searchers: Paranormal Investigators, Isaak combines chilling history, local legends, and paranormal storytelling to bring Spartanburg’s eerie past to life. From restless spirits and forgotten tragedies to mysterious landmarks that still whisper their secrets, this ghost tour is perfect for locals, visitors, history buffs, and paranormal enthusiasts alike.

Join us at the Greenville Convention Center for Young Brother’s Academy Honoring the Promise Gala on October 18th, 2025 6-10p. Young Brothers Academy (YBA) is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young men by providing them with the mentorship, skills, and resources necessary to excel in both academic and professional environments. Our program equips students not only to succeed in college and career but also to assume leadership roles throughout their middle & high school years and beyond.

Soteria CDC is celebrating the community and individuals we serve as we work to create economic and social justice for individuals and families impacted by the criminal justice system by providing housing, education, employment, advocacy, and affirmation for previously incarcerated individuals. We are hosting a fundraiser and celebration on October 23rd, 2025 in recognition of our 26 years of service that will include a combination of storytelling, art, and music, as we unite the community around the importance of supporting and dignifying those reentering society.

Beginner’s workshop lesson at 7:30 P.M., then 8-11 P.M. Contra Dance with Country Waltzing at the break and the final dance. This is a partner dance but it’s not necessary to come with a partner. We have different live bands and callers.
