Kamber Parker Bowden, CEO and founder of Generational Performance Solutions and Furman University alumna is an expert on labor-related issues with more than 50k hours of research on the subject. Her debut book, “The Generational Advantage,” compiles Parker Bowden’s research and insights to deliver practical tips for today’s workforce.
Parker Bowden will be visiting the Bell Tower Bookstore from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7 for a signing and author meet and greet. She will also be discussing her business insights and sharing details about her book.
“’The Generational Advantage’ addresses an issue that has plagued work environment throughout time—generational divides,” said Elizabeth Davis, President of Furman University. “Rather than lamenting generational differences, Kamber encourages and educates leaders to use such differences to enhance the workplace and ultimately business outcomes.”

Parker Bowden will be visiting Barnes & Noble at Greenridge from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12 for a signing and author meet and greet. She will also be discussing her business insights and sharing details about her book.
This book is built on more than 10,000 interviews and over 50,000 hours of research, translating real-world insights into practical action items for business leaders. “The Generational Advantage” covers how to attract and retain top talent in a shifting labor market, bridge communication gaps across generational and technological divides, and turn workplace friction into collaboration and measurable business growth.
The YWCA Racial Justice Workshop is open to our entire YWCA Asheville community – including our staff, volunteers, board, donors, program participants, Fitness Center and community members. This 90-minute workshop will take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am and will be facilitated by Gerry Leonard, Racial Justice & Outreach Specialist and Lexus Walker, Tzedek Social Justice Fellow.
Greer SC, For the fifth time, Whatta Wash South 14 is bringing soap, water, and a scare to customers this October. The Haunted Car Wash will be taking place October 17 & 18, 24 & 25, 31 from 6:00PM-10:00PM. The cost is $30 per vehicle which includes our top wash and a portion of each wash will be donated to help support local charities here in the Upstate, South Carolina.
Enter if you dare, the Haunted Car Wash tunnel will be filled with creepy clowns, fog, and spooky lighting. Drivers outside the wash will be greeted with 12,000+ synchronized lights all programed to Halloween music, animatronics, decorations, as well as ghosts, zombies, clowns, and other scary creatures keeping them company as they wait for their spooky ride through the foggy tunnel. Inside the tunnel, customers will receive a unique spooky experience all while getting their vehicle clean.
This haunted car wash is a perfect way to get into the Halloween Spirit without even having to leave your vehicle as well as supporting local charities in the Upstate. The haunted car wash is located at 2788 South Highway 14 Greer, SC 29650.
