Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature’s law is wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. By keeping its dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
We wouldn’t ask why a rose grew from the concrete for having damaged petals; in turn, we would all celebrate its tenacity and love its will to reach the sun. Well, we are the roses. -Tupac Shakur
In Concrete Roses, Greenville’s very own Vaughn Newman Dance and ZAKI West African Drum & Dance Ensemble will serenade audiences with soulful dance and exhilarating drumming for one night only. This message of culture and triumph will deepen and enlighten your senses, supported by Contemporary and West African Dance.
