Come experience the national parks! On five days in 2022, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. Mark your calendar for these entrance fee–free dates in 2022. Please check operating status at this park and others before traveling as there may be changes due to Covid-19.

This landmark conservation legislation established the National Parks and Public Lands Legacy Restoration Fund, which uses revenue from energy development to provide up to $1.9 billion a year for five years to provide needed maintenance for critical facilities and infrastructure in our national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, recreation areas, and American Indian schools. The National Park Service, which has one of the largest asset portfolios of all federal agencies, receives 70 percent of the Legacy Restoration Fund each year.

GAOA also designated royalties from offshore oil and natural gas to permanently fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund to the tune of $900 million a year to invest in conservation and recreation opportunities across the nation.

Create family memories on Friday mornings in the summer! Take a nature walk with a ranger, and wade into Mountain Creek! Using a park net, search for dragonfly nymphs, salamanders, and many more animals that call Paris Mountain home. We will walk approximately one mile total as we walk to the creek, stay awhile, and walk back. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water shoes (though a limited number of water shoes are available to borrow). All ages welcome! Limit 25 people. Online payment is required to reserve your spot. For questions, or to get help registering, call the park office at 864-244-5565. The cost is $5 per person PLUS admission (if you have an All Parks Passport, you only pay the program cost). Admission is $6 for ages 16-64, $3.50 for ages 6-15, and $3.75 for ages 65+. Children younger than age 6 are not charged admission, so they only pay for the program. Meet at picnic flats parking lot. This program is also available for groups on other weekdays.

Paris Mountain State Park is at 2401 State Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609. It is located six
miles north of downtown Greenville. Admission is $6 for ages 16 – 64, $3.50 for ages 6 – 15, and
$3.25 for S.C. seniors and disabled persons. Children under the age of 6 are not charged
admission.

Paris Mountain State Park will offer Creek Ranger family hikes most Fridays at
10 a.m. this summer, through August 5. Registration is required. Cost is $5 per person plus
admission. These programs are also available for groups on other summer weekdays.
Creek Ranger Hike: Create family memories on Fridays this summer! From 10 am – 12 noon,
