We celebrate and stand in solidarity with all in our Black community.
Black Pride Week: June 18 — 25, 2023
Black Pride is a community event that is all inclusive and an opportunity to love and be loved on regardless of ethnicity, identity, orientation, and gender.
It is important our community acknowledge when there is a lack of equity. Upstate Pride SC presents Black Pride to empower marginalized groups within our community. There are groups that don’t often have a seat at the table, nor do they always have an opportunity to drive events for our entire community. Our Black Pride events uplift two additional marginalized groups: Trans & Latinx.
Upstate Pride SC is committed to intersectionality and the areas in which we all have an opportunity to address spaces void of racism, sexism, transphobia, and homophobia.
