Blackberries are plump blue/purple berries that can be picked off bushes or trailing vines in the summer months. Although blackberries are good for the whole season, berries picked at the beginning of the season provide the best selection. Later in the season, blackberries can become smaller and less fully developed, but still juicy.

Not only do blackberries have a mouth-watering taste, they’re also appealing to your health. With over 40 farmers we have a wide selection of Farm Fresh fruits and vegetables. We offer a wide selection of pickles, relishes, jellies, jams, fresh baked cakes and traditional pound cakes.

GCCA is proud to host the first annual Greenville County School’s Winners Show. The winning students from GCS elementary, middle, and high schools represent the best of the best from over 90 schools throughout the district!

Join us for out our July ride on July 16th at 11am. We’ll start out from Southernside Brewery at 11:00am (start riding at 11:15am), ride up to Furman and head back to Southernside for some refreshments!

On exhibit Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m., Rocky Cove Railroad is a G-Scale (garden scale) model train that demonstrates the coming of trains to western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibit is located below the Grand Promenade. Please note, Rocky Cove Railroad will not operate in rainy or wet conditions.

See the WNC Nature Center like never before, behind the scenes!  The tour includes learning about how we feed and care for the animals (including the predators, such as the mountain lion), an animal enrichment session, and exclusive interactions with the keepers that care for our animals.  Tickets include admission for the day and takes place mainly outdoors.

The tour is for ages 14 and up. Masks are encouraged indoors, and required when are near the animals.

Live music returns to the Old Rock Cafe with our new music series: Playing for our Partners. Come enjoy an evening of good food and good music on the deck overlooking the Rocky Broad River and support a good cause, too. A percentage of proceeds from each event in the series will benefit one of our local non-profit partners. The July event will feature musician Walter Finley and will support the Chimney Rock Village CDA.
