Our certified Qi Gong Instructor, Simon Cairns, will lead attendees in the gentle, rhythmic movements of this ancient art. Qi Gong reduces stress, enhances the immune system and builds stamina among users. Come prepared to learn about this centuries-old method that uses gentle activity to create revitalized living. Santa takes a break to feed his reindeer weekdays and Saturdays: 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. + 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sundays, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Located at food court. One giveaway per family, per Christmas season. Some restrictions may apply, valid only through December 24, 2018.

ENTRY FEE: $15.00
DESCRIPTION: This match consists of two competitors shooting simultaneously to clear 5 bowling pins with a maximum of 10 rounds from their respective tables. The first shooter to clear their table wins.
CLASSES: Minor: .380 ACP up to 9mm. Major: .40 cal up to .44 Mag.
RESTRICTIONS: No .22 Cal
SCORING: The competition is double elimination. Shooters may compete until they have two losses, then they are eliminated. A shooter may opt to buy-back-in one time per match for an additional $5.00 fee, but only for single elimination.
EQUIPMENT: Handgun with any sighting system allowed. Rental guns and ammunition are available for purchase at the time of the event.
PRIZES: 1st Place in each class: $15 Match Fee Waived.
Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm (New competition shooters need to arrive at 5:30pm for an orientation/safety briefing).

Upstairs in the music room on the 1928 Hamburg Steinway “O” Keith Davis flies solo as he goes inside the jazz standards we all love so much on Thursday, December 6 at 7:30. Keith, who can be seen every Wednesday at the Poinsett Hotel, brings his intelligent and unique musical paintings of the American Songbook to upstate audiences in the intimate setting of the Carolina Music Museum. He toured with Artie Shaw and the Glenn Miller Orchestras’, has performed with Wycliffe Gordon, “Fathead” Newman, Pat LaBarbera, to list only a few, and spent a summer at the Banff Summer Workshop where he worked closely with Dave Liebman, Kenny Wheeler, John Abercrombie, and Dave Holland. $15 for adults, $5 for students 6-18. Beer and wine will be available.

All Aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS! This memorable journey will take you on an incredible journey! Believe the magic this Holiday season!
Over 88,000 guests rode THE POLAR EXPRESS with the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in 2017 and we hope to see you in 2018! The 1¼ hour round-trip excursion comes to life as the train departs the Bryson City depot for a journey through the quiet wilderness for a special visit at the North Pole. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, guests on board will enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story. Children’s faces show the magic of the season when the train arrives at the North Pole to find Santa Claus waiting. Santa will board THE POLAR EXPRESS, greeting each child and presenting them with a special gift as in the story, their own silver sleigh bell. Christmas carols will be sung as they return back to the Bryson City Depot.
THE POLAR EXPRESS begins November 9, 2018, and operates through December 31, 2018.
