Author Pop-Up: Christina Custodio
May 28 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
M. Judson Booksellers

Stop by Saturday, May 28th to meet author Christina Custodio and hear about her book! From the time he was born, Christina had always felt her son, Isaiah, would die young. Though a typical boy with no health issues, the thought had always lingered. When a headache sent him to the hospital and surgery for a severe brain hemorrhage, Christina begged God to change His mind and save her son’s life. In her memoir, When God Changed His Mind, Christina shares of her dependence on God during the ups and downs of their journey, the power of prayer, and her determination to use challenges and struggles for His glory.

C.S. Lewis On Stage: Further Up & Further In
Sep 22 all-day
Gunter Theatre at the Peace Center

From the producers of The Screwtape Letters comes a dazzling, new theatrical experience that takes you further up and further into the spiritual journey of C.S. Lewis.

When Lewis came to faith in 1931, it wasn’t obvious how his journey would unfold. Why did the BBC suddenly give him a national audience to deliver unprecedentedly popular radio talks that would become Mere Christianity? How did Hitler’s devious charm influence the writing of The Screwtape Letters? Why was Lewis such an effective apologist/evangelist to skeptics? Was it prayer? Was it his expectation of the Second Coming? Or his profoundly deep longing for Heaven?

Using Lewis’ own words within a vividly immersive, multimedia experience, award-winning actor Max McLean takes you Further Up & Further In the mind and heart of one of the most imaginative and gifted writers in history.

An Evening With David Jeremiah: HIS VOICE! OUR VOICE
Oct 20 @ 7:00 pm
Bon Secours Wellness Arena

David Jeremiah Announces New Teaching Series and Fall Tour Coming This October to South Carolina.

As Turning Point embarks on its fortieth year of ministry, Dr. David Jeremiah shares how we can find hope in God’s Word, even as our world seems to be spinning out of control.

Turning Point for God is pleased to announce the schedule for David Jeremiah’s 2022 Fall Tour. The website for An Evening with David Jeremiah: HIS VOICE! OUR VOICE! has launched, and tickets are now available at DavidJeremiah.org/TOUR.
There is One Voice we ought to trust more than other voices, One Voice we need to hear—the voice of Jesus Christ. We are living in a time when Bible prophecy is intersecting with our world as never before, and there is an urgency to communicate the message of hope and peace that only Jesus Christ can offer!

Each event will include a night of dynamic worship led by The Voice contestant Michael Sanchez, life-changing teaching by renowned Bible teacher and New York Times bestselling author, Dr. David Jeremiah, from his new series, The World of the End, and the opportunity to secure exclusive resources and merchandise.
As we begin the tour in Raleigh, North Carolina, on October 6, the Grammy-award-winning Gaither Vocal Band will be joining us. Additional guest artists for other locations will be announced at a later date.

This special event is a great opportunity to share an uplifting message from God’s Word with those in your community and around the world.

Turning Point is also grateful for the partnership and support of local radio stations in and around Greenville, South Carolina, and looks forward to a successful tour season.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. Visit davidjeremiah.org for tickets.

*Please note no ticket sales are available at the GSP International Box Office or via Ticketmaster. Tickets are available via the event website only.

Operation Christmas Child CELEBRATION EVENT!
Mar 9 @ 6:30 pm
First Presbyterian Church

For over 20 years, the Upstate of South Carolina has participated in Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a global project of Samaritan’s Purse. Across the U.S., the project collected over 9.3 million shoebox gifts in 2022. When we combine this number with those collected from partnering countries in 2022, the total is 10.6 million shoebox gifts to children worldwide!

On Thursday, March 9, at 6:30 pm, the Upstate team invites the community to gather at First Presbyterian Church, 200 W. Washington Street in Greenville, to celebrate the blessings of 2022 and to look forward to what God has planned for 2023. Also, we will reveal the Upstate shoebox total!

This event is FREE to the community. Meet the people who are the Upstate volunteers, hear their testimonies, and join us for pizza, snacks, soft drinks, and dessert — no need to make dinner! This event offers the perfect opportunity to learn more about being more involved in Operation Christmas Child.

Responding Together: A Seminar on Human Trafficking
Apr 4 @ 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
Bon Secours Wellness Arena

Pope Francis referred to human trafficking as an “open wound on the body of contemporary society.” It is a serious affront to human dignity, preying upon the most vulnerable and further dehumanizing them through exploitation. Join Bon Secours St. Francis Health System for a half-day of presentations by internationally recognized experts on human trafficking to learn what role you can play in our community’s response to this humanitarian crisis.

This seminar is a multidisciplinary event open to all who seek to make our community and world a better place for God’s people. It is intended to educate and increase awareness of human trafficking, highlight the necessity of community collaboration, and give hope to those being victimized and exploited.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required.
