As spring migratory species make their return journey from their sunny winter hideaways, see how many you can spot from our location on the NC Birding Trail. Bring your binoculars to get a better look at numerous species traveling north through the Park. Just how many will you add to your list?
Just in case you missed it, this event is FREE! However, it is required that all participants fill out a waiver (linked below) in order to participate in the egg hunt and enjoy the other activities. FOOD will be available for purchase via food trucks that we have invited out for this event. Our Spring Open House is FREE as well, so after you have gathered your eggs, head inside for some more family fun!

Here’s how it works:
– Pick up a TR Bunny Hunt Card at the Gazebo on Main Street or download one HERE
– Complete the card matching the color of each bunny to the location
– Drop your completed entry card off at the Gazebo and receive a prize
– Your name will be added to the drawing for the giant chocolate bunny
– The winner will be notified Monday, April 3, 2023

Discover giant Easter eggs in the gardens, inside Biltmore House, and in Antler Hill Village! This estate tradition invites you and your kids to learn fun facts about the estate and experience its beauty as you search for 25 giant beautifully decorated eggs.
Find and snap photos with each egg, leave the eggs behind for the next “hunter,” then move on to the next! Available on two different days, this family-friendly event is sure to delight hunters of all ages.
After the hunt, head to Antler Hill Village to collect your child’s treat bag—which includes a special commemorative egg—then visit Pisgah Playground, say hello to the Farmyard’s baby animals, and grab a bite at one of our Village restaurants. Perfect end to a perfect spring day? Relaxing on the Village Green with one of The Creamery’s famous Winky Bar sundaes!
A limited number of Easter Scavenger Hunt treat bags will be distributed from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. each day of the event. Treat bags are for kids nine and younger.
Join us at Tyger River Park on April 8th from 10am-12pm for an EGG-cellent day complete with egg hunts and a visit from the one-and-only Easter Bunny. This year’s event is sponsored by Arby’s.
Kids, divided in different ages groups, will have a chance to dash after eggs to fill their basket and discover the treats inside. Then, stick around to meet the Easter Bunny. We’ll provide the eggs, and you bring your camera and basket. This event will happen rain or shine, so dress appropriately.
The hunts will be broken down into the following age categories and times:
- Ages 0-2 at 10:15am – Field 9 (birth to crawling) and Fields 11 & 12 (walkers) (red pod)
- Ages 3-4 at 10:45am – Fields 1 & 2 (green pod)
- Ages 5-6 at 11:00am – Fields 3 & 4 (green pod)
- Ages 7-8 at 11:30am – Fields 5 & 6 (blue pod)
- Ages 9-10 at 11:45am – Field 7 (blue pod)
All participants must be pre-registered. No entry tickets will be sold on site. Parents are asked to bring a basket or sack for their child and to refrain from helping them search for eggs. Parents are only allowed on the fields for the hunts in red pod (ages 0-2).

The Spartanburg County Parks Department and The Carolina Miracle League are proud to once again host the annual EGG-CESSIBLE Easter Egg Hunt at North Spartanburg Park on April 8th from 10am – 12pm. This event is free and open to people of all ages with mental and/or physical disabilities. Participants will also receive a snack and a commemorative gift. Participants will need to bring their own Easter baskets. And, don’t forget your camera to capture all those moments.
The hunts will be broken down into the following age categories and times:
- Ages 0-5 (Parent or Buddy required) at 10:15am
- Ages 6-12 at 10:45am
- Ages 13-18 at 11:15am
- Ages 19+ at 11:45am

Parent Buddies are discouraged for those aged 6+. A volunteer Buddy will be provided if needed, please designate at registration if a Buddy is needed. Siblings are welcome to be Buddies. Buddies MUST be over the age of 15.

Join us in the Maker Space to paint your very own wooden standing Easter
egg for FREE. This is a drop in event from 10AM-1PM or until supplies run
out (first 25 guests).
Join us in the Maker Space on April 8th from 10:30-11:00 for a fun morning
of Easter celebration! Create your very own wooden bunny wall hanging,
enjoy an Easter egg hunt with prizes, and meet the Easter bunny! Please
feel free to take photos with the Easter bunny on your personal camera or
device. Recommended for ages 18 months-4 years. $15 per child.
Celebrate Easter with song, scripture and spiritual music as a spectacular sunrise ascends over Lake Lure. Chimney Rock’s nondenominational Easter Sunrise Service has become a legendary event in western North Carolina. The event is free but reservations are required.
Schedule:
5:30 – 6:15 am – Gates open for visitors with a reserved parking pass
6:15 am – Gates close for admittance
6:45 – 7:15am – Easter Sunrise Service
The trails will open following the service. If you are hungry, we will be serving an early breakfast immediately after the service at the Old Rock Café near the entrance of the Park.
Please Note: The parking is limited, so attendees will be required to reserve a parking pass in advance in order to attend the service. The parking pass is complimentary and will be available on our website starting on March 1st, 2023. Carpooling is recommended. Vehicles can be no larger than a 16-passenger van.

Haywood Mall is inviting families from across the Upstate to celebrate Earth Day with an event celebrating sustainability, recycling and protecting nature.
On Saturday, April 22 at 11 a.m., the first 100 shoppers to check in at the lower-level Center Court can create their own air plant terrarium and Lush bath bomb for free while enjoying pop-ups from a selection of the center’s retailers. Additionally, the City of Greenville will be giving away 100 free trees on a first-come, first-served basis in the parking lot outside the Starbucks entrance to help make Greenville a little greener.
Additionally, Haywood Mall is encouraging shoppers to donate their gently used clothing, shoes and accessories to Give Back Box this Earth Day. Shoppers can fill up any cardboard box with these items and print a free shipping label online. All donations will be given to local charities who will then distribute the items to Greenville-area families in need.
Watch as the Park comes alive under the shadow of darkness on this guided evening excursion with a Park naturalist. Do you know which animals come out along the Hickory Nut Falls trail when the sun goes down? Get ready to learn more about the Park’s rarely-seen residents.
Brunch takes place in the venue Eighteen Hundred Drayton located in the Drayton Mills Marketplace. Ticket price includes multiple buffets and stations, non-alcoholic beverages, and family-style seating. A cash bar will be available.

Do you know which animals come out along the Hickory Nut Falls trail when the sun goes down? Get ready to learn more about the Park’s rarely-seen residents. NOTE: The Hickory Nut Falls Trail is considered a moderate trail. Attendees must be able to hike the trail 3/4 of a mile each direction.
