ince the 1980s Augusta Street businesses, in Greenville SC, have come together to kick off the holidays with family-friendly festivities. Augusta Road Business Association (ARBA) will be hosting its Annual Holiday Open House this year on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Businesses on Augusta keep this tradition alive by hosting festivities, sales, contests, specials, carriage rides, sweet treats, and more. Come to shop the sales, create a wish list, bring your family for the festivities, and have your little ones start the holiday magic of the season on Augusta Street. Mom and Dad will be happy to know that Santa is coming!

Are you looking for an excuse to knit or crochet for a good cause? Help make baby hats and blankets and adult hats, scarves, and slippers to support at-risk newborns and homeless adults.  Your handmade knitwear will keep our neighbors warm.  Volunteers with basic skills in knitting or crocheting are welcome. Please bring your own needles or crochet hooks and a pattern.

Join us for Empower Hour, a one-hour program and facility tour where you will experience firsthand the YWCA’s work to bridge gaps in earning power, education, health & wellness and access to childcare.

Empower Hours take place twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at 11:30 am.
Lunch is served as part of our Empower Hour, so reservations are required.

Beginner’s workshop lesson at 7:30 P.M., then 8-11 P.M. Contra Dance with Country Waltzing at the break and the final dance. This is a partner dance but it’s not necessary to come with a partner. We have different live bands and callers.

The Cayce Historical Museum invites everyone to join us for our annual Open House and Christmas Market
All are welcome to visit the Cayce Historical Museum at 1800 12th Street for our annual Open House and Christmas Market. This year’s festivities will include the new Christmas through the centuries lantern tour, local craft vendors, and cider and ginger snaps. The big man will be on hand for present requests as local acoustic musicians play throughout the house. Come see the museum decked out in holiday splendor and stop by the caboose to snap a photo for your Christmas card!

The Cayce Historic Foundation, certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit, relies on donations to fund events at the Museum and historic preservation work in Cayce, please consider helping out with a donation!

The YWCA Racial Justice Workshop is open to our entire YWCA Asheville community – including our staff, volunteers, board, donors, program participants, Fitness Center and community members. This 90-minute workshop will take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am and will be facilitated by Gerry Leonard, Racial Justice & Outreach Specialist and Lexus Walker, Tzedek Social Justice Fellow.

Gather with your community for a FREE tasty meal, lessons on healthy eating and information on Double Up Food Bucks (a new program through SNAP)! Community Dinners are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6 – 7:30 pm. FREE childcare provided.
