On Saturday, April 12th, cyclists can choose from 33, 43, 65, or 100-mile routes that wind through serene marshlands, lush woodlands, and the tranquil roads of the Francis Marion National Forest. Riders will enjoy a supportive experience with pace groups and a celebratory post-ride lunch to wrap up the day. The adventure continues on Sunday, April 13th, with two bonus ride options: a 42-mile scenic road ride (with a 27-mile option) that tours downtown Charleston, crosses the Ravenel Bridge, and showcases picturesque coastal views, or a 30-mile gravel ride through the rugged beauty of Francis Marion National Forest. Please note that Sunday rides are unsupported, so participants should bring water and snacks.
Proceeds from Ride the Lowcountry 2025 support local cycling advocacy organizations, Charleston Moves and the Palmetto Cycling Coalition, as well as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in their fight to end MS. Empower Hours take place twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at 11:30 am.
