Free QPR Suicide Prevention Training – 988 Day at MHAGC
In honor of 988 Day, Mental Health America of Greenville County is offering two free QPR Gatekeeper certification trainings on September 8th at our office.

What is QPR?
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper Training teaches you how to:
Recognize warning signs of suicide
Offer hope and support
Refer someone to life-saving resources
Gatekeepers can be anyone—parents, teachers, faith leaders, first responders, healthcare workers, and more.
Can’t make it? We offer QPR trainings year-round for schools, workplaces, and community groups.
Suicide prevention starts with all of us.

Our researched and proven program, provides girls and boys ages 5-18 the opportunity to progressively grow, learn and compete in golf tournaments. We also have optional Parent/Grandparent caddies on our tour. This provides tour players the opportunity to develop, grow and improve their parent/child relationship, while learning the role of caddies/players. Tee off at The Fred Anderson Golf for Relief Tournament at Greer Golf Course to benefit Greer Relief! The Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament includes golf merchandise giveaways, a delicious Pasta Bar lunch catered by award winning chef Michael Sibert of White Wine & Butter, complimentary snacks, and beverages (water, sodas, and beer). The Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church celebrates 146 years in the Greenville County community on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 10 AM. This Year’s anniversary will be marked by inspiring worship, thanksgiving and fellowship, as we celebrate “Missions” through community service, charitable outreach, and programs to sustain families and children.
Gates open at 5 p.m. | Program begins at 6 p.m.
Free for all attendees, but ticket reservations are required this year. Tickets can be reserved online. Seating is General Admission and all patrons will enter the Left Field Gate.
Student Seating: Sections 119 and 120 are reserved for USC Upstate students. Students do not need to reserve tickets in advance and can pick them up, showing a valid USC Upstate ID, at the South Carolina Army National Guard tent outside the Left Field Gate on event night.
Parking: Complimentary parking is available in the Ballpark Parking Deck next to Fifth Third Park, with additional options throughout downtown. For a parking map, click here. Details on a campus shuttle will be announced in the days prior to the event.
Food & Concessions: Fans can enjoy stadium favorites such as hot dogs, popcorn, burgers, fries, Bojangles chicken sandwiches and more.
Giveaways: The first 250 fans to visit the USC Upstate/Ingles tent inside the stadium will receive a free T-shirt to help paint the ‘Burg green.

Soteria CDC is celebrating the community and individuals we serve as we work to create economic and social justice for individuals and families impacted by the criminal justice system by providing housing, education, employment, advocacy, and affirmation for previously incarcerated individuals. We are hosting a fundraiser and celebration on October 23rd, 2025 in recognition of our 26 years of service that will include a combination of storytelling, art, and music, as we unite the community around the importance of supporting and dignifying those reentering society.
