The Black Bear Half Marathon & 8k presented by Hunter Subaru is an exhilarating fall event that beckons both seasoned athletes and recreational runners alike. Nestled within the charm and beauty of Hendersonville, North Carolina, this race offers participants a unique opportunity to challenge their limits while immersing themselves in the splendor of the autumn season. Whether conquering the half marathon’s 13.1-mile stretch or embracing the spirited atmosphere of the 8k, participants love supportive community vibe, scenic course, and post-race festivities, including the Black Bear Fall Market!
Come early to grab a good seat and play trivia with us before the show. Movies begin at sundown. A local food truck as well as Poppington’s Popcorn will be on site. Feel free to bring your own picnic and enjoy a cozy night under the stars!
Moonlight Movies takes place at the bottom of Falls Park. Follow the path from Main Street (531 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601).
Wristbands must be purchased on site for $1 if you plan on bringing alcohol.
As an important reminder for all, please leave all pets at home, do not bring glass cups or bottles and no smoking on-site.

Join us Saturday, October 18, 2025 for the 3rd Annual TreeTops 8.5 Mile Trail Race in DuPont State Recreational Forest near Brevard, North Carolina!
This race offers a unique opportunity to explore the spectacular 10,000 acres of rolling hills and towering trees that make up this beautiful forest. Take on the 8.5 mile challenging trail race – but beware! With nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain it’s no walk in the park!
Join us at the Dupont Forest Festival afterwards from 10am – 3pm to visit with vendors, hike, yoga, bike, hunt waterfalls and learn outdoor recreation tips to last you a lifetime. Admission to the festival is FREE!

Are you looking for an excuse to knit or crochet for a good cause? Help make baby hats and blankets and adult hats, scarves, and slippers to support at-risk newborns and homeless adults. Your handmade knitwear will keep our neighbors warm. Volunteers with basic skills in knitting or crocheting are welcome. Please bring your own needles or crochet hooks and a pattern.

We’re back in the heart of Hendersonville and we’re bringing some spirited fun—with an awesome new race shirt and shiny finisher medal for every participant. Costumes? Highly encouraged. FOMO? Guaranteed if you skip it. Run or walk through the Historic 7th Avenue District with a crowd of costumed runners, then keep the party going at the Fall Festival just steps from the finish line!
This is a one-hour immersive ceremony where sound and skin art unfold in real time.
As Callie Adams plays crystal singing bowls live, the space is filled with vibration and intention. Henna artist Art Nehart tunes into the energy, creating intuitive designs flowing like vines across the skin.
You may choose to receive henna or simply rest in the sonic field.
All participants are held in a space of beauty, breath, and belonging.
To preserve the intimacy of this offering, advance registration is required.
Henna adornment is limited and walk-ins are not available.

Hub City Disc Golf Club is excited again to host The Hub City Halloween Open in 2025 as a Pro only A tier event! Year 9 for the event! Local and visiting disc golf professionals will compete in 3 days of competition at Holston creek Park.
Everything Outdoor Fest is a two-day, family and dog friendly immersive experience in Upstate South Carolina. The weekend Fest, Nov. 1-2, gives people of all ages and skill levels the chance to discover the Southeast’s most popular outdoor activities in the beautiful setting of Historic Hopkins Farm in Simpsonville, S.C. Join The Greenville Jewish Film Festival for its latest Pop Up Movie to be shown at Camelot Cinemas!
The Ring focuses on Arnon Noble, a religious man with a strong bond to his mother, a Holocaust survivor. He usually drives her to school lectures where she tells the students how she saved the lives of her baby boy and herself with the help of a thin gold ring. When the mother’s health deteriorates, he travels to her old hometown, Budapest to search for the mythological ring that saved her life in the past.
He turns to his estranged daughter, who is a TV researcher, for help and invites her to share the journey. Will the search for the ring be successful? Will the ring save the mother’s life again and will the same ring that saved her mother also succeed in saving Arnon’s relationship with his own daughter?

Our tour is uniquely comprised of: those who are playing in their first tournament, those who are working towards their goals, those who have competed in States, Regionals, and Worlds, as well as those who are seeking and working hard towards earning college scholarships.Fun and family friendly events. Our researched and proven program, provides girls and boys ages 5-18 the opportunity to progressively grow, learn and compete in golf tournaments. We also have optional Parent/Grandparent caddies on our tour. This provides tour players the opportunity to develop, grow and improve their parent/child relationship, while learning the role of caddies/players. The Top 5 in each age group at each event earn medals! Spots are first come, first serve. Sign up soon and Register before deadline.
