The 44th annual Western North Carolina Parade of Homes, happening October 11-12 and 18-19, is a free, self-guided tour of new and remodeled homes by top builders throughout Asheville, Hendersonville, Black Mountain, Fairview, and beyond. Visitors can explore a wide variety of homes in person or take advantage of virtual tours. Soteria CDC is celebrating the community and individuals we serve as we work to create economic and social justice for individuals and families impacted by the criminal justice system by providing housing, education, employment, advocacy, and affirmation for previously incarcerated individuals. We are hosting a fundraiser and celebration on October 23rd, 2025 in recognition of our 26 years of service that will include a combination of storytelling, art, and music, as we unite the community around the importance of supporting and dignifying those reentering society.
Join us on Thursday, October 24 at 1800 Drayton for Bacon & Barrel — a lively evening of bourbon tastings, bacon-inspired bites from local restaurants, live music, and a curated silent auction, all in support of St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic. This beloved annual fundraiser helps provide free, high-quality healthcare to uninsured residents of Spartanburg County.
Tickets include access to bourbon samples, food tastings, and entertainment. Proceeds go directly toward sustaining our clinic’s mission of compassionate care for those who need it most.

The Art of Tamada: A Georgian Feast and Cultural Celebration in Greenville
Greenville, SC — First Things Foundation and Keipi Restaurant, with ticketing by Trueline, invite the community to experience The Art of Tamada, Greenville’s most unique culinary and cultural celebration, taking place October 24–25 at Hampton Station. This two-day fundraiser blends Georgian tradition, live music, and community connection, supporting First Things Foundation’s humanitarian work around the globe.
At the heart of the event is the Supra, a traditional Georgian feast led by a Tamada (toastmaster), who guides guests through stories, blessings, and toasts, turning the table into a space of meaning and connection. Guests will enjoy multi-course dinners, live performances, and the warmth of Georgian hospitality.

Friday, Oct. 24: Supra tables, live DJ music, dancing, axe throwing, picnics on the green, and more.
Saturday, Oct. 25: Supra tables, speaker sessions, live DJ sets, and live music from Georgia Heers, Emmet Sher, and Dirt Poor Robins, alongside axe throwing, picnics, and plenty of Mshvidoba (Georgian for “peace”).
Saturday Evening – Taste of Keipi Live Music Session: Guests can enjoy a free evening of wine tastings, small bites inspired by the Supra, and live music, showcasing the heart of Keipi, where food, wine, and music meet.
Each Supra table seats 18–22 guests, with tickets available for singles, couples, private groups, and businesses. Every ticket supports First Things Foundation’s mission to serve the extreme poor across four continents.
Hub City Disc Golf Club is excited again to host The Hub City Halloween Open in 2025 as a Pro only A tier event! Year 9 for the event! Local and visiting disc golf professionals will compete in 3 days of competition at Holston creek Park.
Everything Outdoor Fest is a two-day, family and dog friendly immersive experience in Upstate South Carolina. The weekend Fest, Nov. 1-2, gives people of all ages and skill levels the chance to discover the Southeast’s most popular outdoor activities in the beautiful setting of Historic Hopkins Farm in Simpsonville, S.C. Our tour is uniquely comprised of: those who are playing in their first tournament, those who are working towards their goals, those who have competed in States, Regionals, and Worlds, as well as those who are seeking and working hard towards earning college scholarships.Fun and family friendly events. Our researched and proven program, provides girls and boys ages 5-18 the opportunity to progressively grow, learn and compete in golf tournaments. We also have optional Parent/Grandparent caddies on our tour. This provides tour players the opportunity to develop, grow and improve their parent/child relationship, while learning the role of caddies/players. Your mistakes and big ambitions are behind you, nothing left to prove, and small things give you great pleasure because that’s what’s left. (“I was unhappy in college because it was a requirement for an ntellectual, but then I went into show business and discovered that people won’t pay to be made inhappy; their kids will do it for free.”)
There is the News from Lake Wobegon, a town booming with new entrepreneurs, makers of artisanal firewood and gourmet meatloaf, breeders of composting worms, and dogs trained to do childcare. But some things endure, such as the formation of the Living Flag on Main Street, citizens in tight formation wearing red, white, or blue caps, and Mr. Keillor among them, standing close to old neighbors, Myrtle Krebsbach (“Truckstop”) and Julie Christensen (“Bruno, The Fishing Dog”) and Clint Bunsen. And an a – cappella sing-along with the audience singing from memory an odd medley of patriotic songs, pop standards, hymns, and ending with the national anthem.
