The City of Greenville Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will be offering a Teen Summer Leadership Program for youth ages 12-15 years old. The 8-week camp will offer a variety of activities, interactive workshops, exploratory and educational field trips, guest speakers and much more. Participants will also be a part of programming sessions that help them gain knowledge in effective communication, healthy living, financial literacy, and career planning that will ultimately prepare them for their future. Teens will leave feeling more equipped to handle life while enjoying an adventurous summer that is sure to create lasting memories and friendships.
Location: Juanita Butler Community Center
Dates: June 3 – August 2, 2024
No camp the week of July 1st – 5th
Daily Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sign up options:
Summer long registration: 8 spots available
Individual weekly registrations: 4 spots available
Deposit: Non-Refundable deposit of $150 per participant due at registration. Balance must be paid by May 24. If balance is not met, participants will not be allowed to attend on June 3 or until balance is paid.
The City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department is offering financial aid pricing for teens who would like to attend the Summer Teen Leadership Program. Families would have to sign up for the entire 8-week program and pay the deposit (the deposit could be refundable if financial aid is not granted) and fill out the financial aid form. Families would be required to turn in all necessary documents to be eligible (individual notification of free/reduced lunch form, Medicaid documentation or TANF/EBT documentation). All financial aid applications will be reviewed/approved by the Community Center Manager or other staff designated by the Department Head.
Non-Refundable payment due at registration. No deposit fees for one week camp registrations. Registration closes the Monday prior to first day of the selected week.

Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive and Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays will return to NOMA Square for the 2024 season with a lineup of new and returning artists.
Downtown Alive starts Thursday, March 14 with performances by Linda Faye’s Sound. Benefiting the Metropolitan Arts Council, the weekly music series runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday until late August.
