Join TATT and the Urban League of the Upstate for an informal networking event to be held from 9-10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 17 at the Arts Center of Greenwood at 120 Main Street in Greenwood. The topic for the session is downtown revitalization and will also include the unveiling of the new Upstate Downtown Academy Program. This event will be limited to 30 people to allow for small group discussion.

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Kids Fun Run is back for a 7th year! Organized by YMCA of Greenville volunteers as a part of the Y’s Togetherhood Initiative, this initiative allows Y members to collectively give back to the Travelers Rest community.

This event will support the North Greenville Crisis Ministry. Each summer, hundreds of kids are not in school for lunch and there is a huge need for easily prepared meals for these children. One large need is for jars of peanut butter and jelly.

One jar of peanut butter and one jar of jelly per participant OR any two items of the following: canned soup, spaghetti sauce, condiments, toiletries.

Spartanburg Regional’s Virtual Care Clinic is an excellent way to enhance health care to employees.

It is a quick, convenient, and cost-effective way to receive quality care without the need to miss work or travel to see a doctor. Patients can communicate with a medical professional from their mobile device or computer from work, home, or car.

Offering this service to employees can be as simple as posting information on a bulletin board or in a breakroom without a formal partnership or contract.

Business leaders are invited to join us during their lunch hour to learn more about the benefits of virtual care, the types of appointments available and the various telehealth services offered. Experience an appointment demonstration and take the opportunity to ask the team questions.

Join us for Power Up 101 to learn about the initiative and resources that are available to you as a small business owner in Spartanburg County.

Participants are encouraged to attend Power Up 101 after completing the initial intake form, but this is also a great refresher course for existing participants who want to maximize their benefits.

During Power Up 101, participants will:

• Meet other small business owners and OneSpartanburg, Inc. staff
• Learn more about the resources available
• Learn how to utilize the website for the upcoming GRID and technical support resources

You’re invited to join Ten at the Top and Michael Nail of Ogletree Deakins who will lead a small business/entrepreneur roundtable discussion on key considerations for human resources in 2024. Please join this valuable platform for business owners to enhance your HR knowledge, expand your professional network, and find solutions to your HR-related challenges in a supportive and collaborative environment. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. This is a free event but registration is required to attend.
