Could this be you? *At least 18 years old, friendly, outgoing, flexible and a good problem solver. *Have the ability to respond to neighbors in a supportive and empathic manner. *Be able to respect the confidential nature of the paperwork involved. If so, this may be your calling. Our VITA Greeters welcome the neighbors upon their arrival. During check-in, you will make sure they have the needed and completed documents for our tax preparers. You do NOT need to have any knowledge of taxes to participate in this activity.
We offer this assistance from the end of January to mid April. The weekly shifts are Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm to 8pm and Saturday from 8:30am to 1:30pm. We are partnering with the Foothills Philharmonic to collect donations, food and/or monetary, from guests as they arrive at the local concert in downtown Greer. The concert is held at The Center for the Arts building located at 8004 Trade St. Greer SC, 29651. You are welcome to stay and watch the chamber play. It is a great experience in our hometown theater. Jenn will connect after sign up to arrange pick up and drop off of needed materials for event. Are you looking for an excuse to knit or crochet for a good cause? Help make baby hats and blankets and adult hats, scarves, and slippers to support at-risk newborns and homeless adults. Your handmade knitwear will keep our neighbors warm. Volunteers with basic skills in knitting or crocheting are welcome. Please bring your own needles or crochet hooks and a pattern.

BMW Charity Pro-AM staff will be present to address questions about the upcoming tournament, scheduled from June 3-9. Discover the various ways you can contribute to the event, whether through volunteering, sponsoring, purchasing tickets, housing a professional or other involvement opportunities. Late winter is the perfect time to start planning for summer gardens and what better way to start than with the Basics of Vegetable Gardening class! Come prepared to learn about what it takes to start growing your own vegetables in our area. Join experienced teacher and former director, John Murphy, as he guides you through vegetable gardening basics.
