This in-person fundraising event will be the perfect opportunity to unwind, socialize, and immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of fall. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind celebration of Bach’s music and the joy of Oktoberfest. Grab your friends, put on your lederhosen, and get ready to raise a glass to Bachtoberfest 2023!

Event tickets include two beers, heavy appetizers (brat board), access to the silent auction, and fabulous fellowship and music!

Join us on a journey into the world of butterflies and plants, and see the complex relationship between monarchs and milkweed. “Monarchs and Milkweed” explores how very survival of these majestic creatures has been shaped over time by one another, traveling through the seasons of a calendar year and revealing how both insect and plant grow and interact, culminating in a massive migration that crosses a continent.

Laura Van Havermaat, Director of Felsina Winery North America will be walking us through 5 amazing wines from Felsina in Tuscany, Italy paired with Meatball subs from local fan favorite Cucina Del Borgo!

Fattoria di Fèlsina has long been one of the great names in Tuscany. Based in the Chianti Classico region, Fèlsina produces one of the finest ranges of ageworthy and complex Chianti bottlings in all of Italy. Unlike many of their neighbors, Fèlsina has never succumbed to the temptation to produce “new age” wines from their fine Chianti vineyards, and continues to grow solely Sangiovese here, rather than dabble with international-styled blends that include Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot. Consequently, their elegant yet intensely flavored Chiantis place them firmly among the top handful of Chianti producers, with the best vintages of their top Riserva Chiantis often approaching Brunello di Montalcino in terms of complexity and potential for longevity. In addition to their distinct bottlings of Chianti Classico, Fèlsina also produces one of Italy’s top Vino di Tavola’s (or IGTs), called Fontalloro. Fontalloro is also 100% Sangiovese, with the wine sources from old vines in three top vineyards that straddle the border between two of Chianti’s top regions: “Classico” and “Colli Senesi”. It is produced from vines that are in excess of fifty years of age, and aged in small French oak barrels for fifteen to eighteen months prior to bottling.

The holdings in our library are more than 2,800 strong making it a wonderful resource for teachers, students and researchers. From city directories, maps and photographs, to many family genealogies, we have information that can help with your research.

UCG College & Candy Fest

This is a FREE community event and will include candy for the kids, light refreshments, and games! So bring the family!

In this 8-week session discover the fun and fundamentals of musical theatre technique by integrating acting, singing, and simple choreography in the development of a Broadway repertoire. Students will learn proper vocal technique, story-telling through song, musical theatre-style choreography, and how to work within an ensemble. With new material every semester, this class can (and should) be taken multiple times. We will end the semester with a taped video performance that will be emailed out to all families!

It’s the ultimate trivia mashup: Quiz by Geeks Who Drink, fun & games by Dave & Buster’s. The ultimate trivia party is finally here. Geeks Who Drink and Dave & Buster’s have teamed up to bring you the Dave & Buster’s Trivai Show. It’s a whole new format that combinest he super-social Geeks Who Drink trivia night with all the frenetic game-show action you’d expect from Dave & Buster’s. Get ready for pop culture-centric trivia where winners receive Power Cards. In between rounds, join in on the physical challenge fun for bonus prizes – or just gawk at the people who do. All in all, it’s two hours and it’s free to play. No reservations needed, just show up! Teams can be up to six players, so bring your smartest friends (or some likable dummies)—or come solo. We can always help you join a team!

Does your little kid have a big imagination and lots of energy? Then this class exploring the fundamentals of theatre is just for them! During this 8-week class, students will explore favorite storybook characters and bring them to life through acting and creative and imagination play. This high-energy class will celebrate your young artist’s creativity, develop skills in improvisation, public speaking, and expression, and release creative energy in a meaningful way. With new material every semester, this class can (and should) be taken multiple times! We will end the semester with a taped video performance that will be emailed out to all families!

This 8-week class is designed for curious young performers eager to explore the “FUN”-damentals of acting. Through high-energy theatre games, improvisation, pantomime, storytelling, and ensemble-based activities, students will hone their theatre skills, build meaningful connections with other young artists, and discover their creative potential! With new material every semester, this class can (and should) be taken multiple times. We will end the semester with a taped video performance that will be emailed out to all families!
