SC Rural Transit Day serves as a pivotal platform dedicated to championing the interests of South Carolina’s rural communities, aiming to address the distinctive transportation challenges they face while fostering connections to alleviate existing disparities and inequities. You’re invited to join Ten at the Top to dive into the world of downtown revitalization with our series that takes you on-site to 10 of the Upstate’s downtowns. Prior to each meeting, the participants will receive a short video to highlight the month’s theme. The group will meet in the designated community for a tour of the downtown, which will include local guests. At the end of each evening, the cohort will eat at a local downtown restaurant and discuss how the theme was applied. Participation is limited to 25 attendees. Each participant is responsible for their transportation and dinner.

Maximizing Investments in TATT

Last year, our fairy gardens attracted almost 9,000 visitors between June and August 2023. We see this as an opportunity to highlight Bullington’s circle of contributors through the sponsorship of a fairy door. The handcrafted doors will have the sponsor’s name, will be opened by guests to reveal a hidden message, and will be given to the sponsors when they are taken down after the summer.

On National Public Lands Day, Saturday September 28, 2024, Friends of DuPont Forest will host the 6th annual DuPont Forest Festival, an event celebrating the adventure and beauty of DuPont State Recreational Forest.
The DuPont Forest Festival is a free, family friendly event open to the public. It is a celebration of the Forest and the diverse user groups who enjoy it.
We’ll have a mix of drop-in activities, demonstrations, group tours, and hikes, all perfect for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Our number one goal for the Forest Festival is to teach people to love the Forest. Along with having fun, the activities will weave in education about reducing impacts to the Forest, waterfall safety, trails that serve multiple types of recreationalists and Forest conservation.
Each event will be led by an expert volunteer and representative from our partner organizations.”
