The historic trellis bridge Fontana Trestle takes you across Fontana Lake and into the beautiful Nantahala Gorge. Onboard dining is available in First Class Seating and selecting from our First Class dining menu options OR you can pre-purchase a box lunch option to make this an amazing unique moving dining experience. Arrive at our layover destination in the heart of the Nantahala Gorge for a one-hour layover where you can relax by the river or enjoy sightseeing!

Bill & Tad’s Excellent Duo is an acoustic duo from Spartanburg that has been performing all over the Upstate and western North Carolina for eight years.
They play originals and primarily 60’s and 70’s classics that are both familiar, but also off the beaten path of typical cover songs. That includes The Beatles, Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, The Kinks, Neil Young, Marvin Gaye and many others.
The best view of any yoga class in town, hands down! Our friends from Namaste in Nature will lead this peaceful, after-hours yoga class to kick off the weekend. This class is beginner friendly.
Last year, 2,500 community volunteers rolled up their sleeves to serve across Greenville County — an estimated economic impact of $300,000. We look forward to celebrating the impact of our incredible volunteer community when United Way Hands On Greenville Day returns on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Make plans to join us for our afterparty celebration at Fluor Field (945 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601) from 11am–2pm.

The NOC’s Outfitters Store is celebrating 30 Years of Gear in the riverside shop! The first 30 adults in line at 8am opening, will receive a mystery scratch off ticket with freebies, giveaways, sweet discounts, and more! Must be 18 or older to participate, one ticket per person.

Located within the wildly-popular and botanically beautiful Southern Appalachian Mountains, The North Carolina Arboretum offers more than 10 miles of hiking trails that connect to many other area attractions such as Lake Powhatan, the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visitors of all ages and abilities can enjoy their hiking experience at the Arboretum as trail options include easy, moderate, and difficult challenge levels. All trails are dog-friendly and visitors are asked to adhere to the proper waste disposing procedures for pets.

All donations keep Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve a beautiful, peaceful place for all to enjoy.

Get ready to go around the world in a day, enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of multiple cultures at Greer City Park and Greer City Hall. The Greer Goes Global International Festival brings a sampling of the many cultures that make up the Greater Greer Community and Upstate South Carolina.
What: Mattress Firm and Greenville Animal Care are inviting you to a Kitten Shower to help kittens in need find their fur-ever homes. Come during “Shower Days” to indulge in some yummy treats, see the adoptable animals, meet a Mattress Firm Sleep Expert, and maybe even go home with your new fur-ever friend!
When: The Kitten Shower will take place April 19 – April 20 (noon to 4 PM). Shower donations will also be accepted at any Upstate, SC Mattress Firm location or Greenville Animal Care now through April 24.
Where: Greenville County Animal Care. 328 Furman Hall Rd. Greenville, SC 29609
Items Needed: Kitchen scales, terry bath towels (white), heating pads, pate-style kitten food, kitten milk replacer (powder), pet bottles and nipples, non-clumping cat litter, fleece throws, kitten toys.
These items can be found at any pet store, or the Amazon Wish List.
On exhibit Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m., Rocky Cove Railroad is a G-Scale (garden scale) model train that demonstrates the coming of trains to western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibit is located below the Grand Promenade. Please note, Rocky Cove Railroad will not operate in rainy or wet conditions.

Over 30 pitmasters and chefs will be joining together as teams to cook over 15 different BBQ dishes! Each one of our amazing menu items created by our talented chefs will be ALL-INCLUSIVE, so you can eat and enjoy all day long!
ONE ticket price gets you FOUR hours of all the BBQ you can enjoy AND unlimited beverages!
Admission to regular dances: Ages 14 and above– $10 cash; under 14 free if accompanied and supervised by a paying individual 16 or older. No coins please!
Are you a beginner? We strongly encourage you to attend our FREE beginner classes before every dance. Class starts at 7:30 PM. This is your chance to learn the basics of Contra dancing or just refresh what you know.
Please park completely on the grass. We want to make the roads clear for emergency vehicles to be able to easily get through. We also do not want to have any problems with the law. If possible, car pool to save on parking space. Thank you for your attention on this matter.
CAMPING is available on the grounds for $5 per person. Showers and bathrooms are available.
Check out our potluck dinner! We will periodically host potlucks before or after special events such as the Monster Mash dance or board meetings, but will announce them ahead of time, so stay posted and/or sign up to receive notification through the Yahoo Groups email updates.
Consider serving a term (or two) on our board. Harvest Moon Folk Society is always looking for a few good folks who would help give back to the contra dancing community. More information from any board member, or at the entry desk at any RFL dance. Please fill out the Board Application form to join our dedicated group of volunteers.
Join us for an evening paddle with park staff on scenic Lake Craig. During this 90-min. paddling trip we will watch the sun slowly set, and as dusk descends, we will see the first stars of the evening.
