We have nearly 150 Route Partners who deliver meals regularly to our homebound clients. Learn more about this program now!
Drop by the Inman Library to knit (or crochet) with friends. This social knitting group meets every Friday morning, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Knitting/crochet needles and yarn will be provided, or you can bring your own. Adults ages 18+, no registration required.
Households that earn up to $60,000 per year may schedule an appointment to have their income taxes completed by our partners at Impact America at Spartanburg County Public Libraries at 151 S. Church St. in Spartanburg by calling 1-844-448-2972.

Make Greenville Center for Creative Arts (GCCA) your first stop on First Friday! Located in the historic Brandon Mill complex in the creative arts district of West Greenville, GCCA is a perfect place to begin the Metropolitan Arts Council’s monthly art walk.
The Art Center is open for extended hours, 6pm to 9pm, on the first Friday of every month for First Friday activities. In addition to viewing multiple exhibitions from both locally and nationally-recognized artists, at GCCA you’ll have the opportunity to meet the resident working artists, see their studio spaces and works in progress, and learn more about their personal style and artistic process.
The mission of GCCA is to enrich the cultural fabric of the community through visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration. Founded by a dedicated group of artists, teachers, and community leaders, the Art Center offers programs for people of all ages, backgrounds, and economic circumstances.
Greenville’s Downtown Trolley (Route 903) provides visitors to the downtown area easy and free transport to the West Greenville area from July through September, every Thursday and Friday, 6pm to 11pm, and Saturdays, 5:30pm to 11pm. Act 1 includes Samuel Beckett’s absurdist play COME AND GO and Benjamin Bettenbender’s dark comedy THE SIREN SONG OF STEPHEN JAY GOULD.
Act 2 features a new feminist twist on Shakespeare’s Hamlet with Jeff Wanshel’s breathtaking adaptation, OPHELIA.

Be part of a unique virtual stargazing community as we gather online to explore the constellations, bright stars, planets and deep sky objects of the winter night sky with local astronomer Stephan Martin as our guide. All you need is a smartphone or mobile device, a free downloadable astronomy app and an internet connection to join from the warmth and safety of your own stargazing location. Steve will point out some of the celestial wonders of the night sky during this time of year and share their myths and legends.
Stephan Martin is an astronomer and educator who taught at colleges and universities for more than 25 years. He has lectured on light pollution and its effects on the environment and has offered stargazing and introductory astronomy workshops domestically and internationally. The event guest speaker is the Honorable Deb Sofield. She will present her talk entitled, “Resilience, Strength, Courage for the Journey.”
Deb Sofield is a dynamic speaker, coach and author of five books. She is a radio talk show host on the Salem Network and President of her own Executive Speech Coaching Company. Recognized for her work in improving the lives of others and her contribution to the state of South Carolina and the nation, Sofield was awarded the Order of the Palmetto – the state of South Carolina’s highest honor.

Admission to regular dances: Ages 14 and above– $10 cash; under 14 free if accompanied and supervised by a paying individual 16 or older. No coins please!
Are you a beginner? We strongly encourage you to attend our FREE beginner classes before every dance. Class starts at 7:30 PM. This is your chance to learn the basics of Contra dancing or just refresh what you know.
Please park completely on the grass. We want to make the roads clear for emergency vehicles to be able to easily get through. We also do not want to have any problems with the law. If possible, car pool to save on parking space. Thank you for your attention on this matter.
CAMPING is available on the grounds for $5 per person. Showers and bathrooms are available.
Check out our potluck dinner! We will periodically host potlucks before or after special events such as the Monster Mash dance or board meetings, but will announce them ahead of time, so stay posted and/or sign up to receive notification through the Yahoo Groups email updates.
Consider serving a term (or two) on our board. Harvest Moon Folk Society is always looking for a few good folks who would help give back to the contra dancing community. More information from any board member, or at the entry desk at any RFL dance. Please fill out the Board Application form to join our dedicated group of volunteers.
