Everyone is welcome to attend the Riverside Writers meetings. We will complete writing activities, writing sprints, work in pairs/groups to discuss each other’s writing, and share our work with the group as a whole.

Would you like to be a writer but worry about the word count? Join us as we discuss and write short fiction. We’ll read short-short stories that will inspire our own short stories and we’ll follow prompts to feed our imaginations. Call to reserve your place.

The holidays can be a stressful time for many. Come destress with us at the Cyrill-Westside Library for a hygge-inspired evening. A cozy environment, light refreshments, and stress-reducing activities will be provided, This is a drop-in event from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Adults only, please.

Join Kathy Marzec, a volunteer representative for the SC Alzheimer’s Association, in the first of a series of moderated support groups focused on assisting families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Whether you’re concerned for yourself or someone you care about, it’s important to know the warning signs of dementia so you can ensure an early diagnosis. Kathy Marzec from the SC Alzheimer’s Association will cover 10 of the most common warning signs for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Join writers and poets from across the country each month for a virtual writing workshop. A link will be added to their name when more details and sign-up information becomes available. Each year, the Southern Author Expo offers the chance to meet and greet selected regional authors as well as listen to special featured speakers as they share information on their latest books, their writing process, and other literary themes.

Please note that there is limited parking available at The Rutherford, so if you would like a reserved space please purchase parking with your ticket. If you need a handicapped space, there is no charge. Please indicate that you need a handicapped space when you purchase your tickets. Additional free parking is available in a lot down the street from the venue. We encourage you to use a ride-sharing service if you plan to drink!
