The holdings in our library are more than 2,800 strong making it a wonderful resource for teachers, students and researchers. From city directories, maps and photographs, to many family genealogies, we have information that can help with your research.

CRA’s 34th Annual Conference & Trade Show Call for Presentations & Session Ideas is now open! Whether just an ember of an idea, or a fully organized presentation, your ideas are what make the CRA Conference burn bright! This is a great opportunity to engage with hundreds of recycling professionals in the Carolinas at the Cherokee Convention Center from April 8-11, 2024.

CRA is planning a Corporate Sustainability Track and are prioritizing the following topics:

  • Business Recycling & Waste Reduction
  • Business Skill Development (sales, contract negotiations, customer relations, etc.)
  • Circular Economy Development
  • Corporate Sustainability, Zero Waste, ESG in Action

Additional topics of interest welcome including (but not limited to):

The work of our community’s Keep America Beautiful affiliate is directly tied to the OneSpartanburg Vision Plan.

VIRTUAL RAILFAN is live from the Hub City RR Museum in Spartanburg.

The Virtual Railfan cameras were installed on Tuesday, July 6th at the Hub City Railroad Museum. There is one camera looking north and one looking south. The Hub City RR Museum wants to thank the City of Spartanburg for allowing us to install the cameras, and to Virtual Railfan for the install. We have already seen over 300 railfans at one time watching the video feed.

CRHA LogoThe Carolina Railroad Heritage Association is a <501(c)(3)> not for profit local association of approximately eighty members who enjoy railroads and railroad history. The CRHA is currently meeting the third Friday of each month in Fountain Inn, SC at 7:00 pm. Programs at the meetings include presentations on historical and current railroads and are presented by members as well as outside speakers. Our activities include a photo contest, occasional field trips to local railroad sites, picnics and a December pot luck dinner. CRHA members volunteer at our museum and caboose in Spartanburg, SC. Downtown Spartanburg

Downtown Spartanburg will get a little loud on Sept. 14 as College Fest returns, bringing students from all seven Spartanburg County colleges together for a dance party on Morgan Square. The event is part of a strategy to connect students more closely to Spartanburg in hopes of keeping them here after graduation.

A not-for-profit consortium of Spartanburg’s seven public and private accredited colleges and universities, in partnership with the City of Spartanburg.

College Town capitalizes on the advantages offered by the large number of diverse colleges in order to create educational, social, service and career development opportunities for students.
