Make sure your business’ voice is heard in Columbia by filing out the Upstate Chamber Coalition’s Legislative Priorities survey. This survey is taken by businesses from across the 10-county region, and we need to make sure Spartanburg County businesses get involved in this process.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete, and will remain open until Monday, Oct. 23.

As tax season approaches, so does a growing need for bilingual volunteers with the United Way of Greenville County’s VITA program. VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. This program provides an invaluable resource to the community. In fact, last year, nearly 400 VITA volunteers donated roughly 8,000 hours to this important financial stability program. Since 2006, VITA has filed nearly 110,000 returns, resulting in $141 million in saved tax preparation fees and refunds back into the community. VIRTUAL RAILFAN is live from the Hub City RR Museum in Spartanburg.

The Virtual Railfan cameras were installed on Tuesday, July 6th at the Hub City Railroad Museum. There is one camera looking north and one looking south. The Hub City RR Museum wants to thank the City of Spartanburg for allowing us to install the cameras, and to Virtual Railfan for the install. We have already seen over 300 railfans at one time watching the video feed.
