Are you looking for an excuse to knit or crochet for a good cause? Help make baby hats and blankets and adult hats, scarves, and slippers to support at-risk newborns and homeless adults. Your handmade knitwear will keep our neighbors warm. Volunteers with basic skills in knitting or crocheting are welcome. Please bring your own needles or crochet hooks and a pattern.

Celebrating its 18th year together, bluegrass juggernaut Balsam Range is charging headlong toward the unknown horizon of what is currently unfolding as the group enters a new, promising chapter of its vast, ever-evolving musical career. Coming into 2025, the group: Caleb Smith (guitar, vocals), Tim Surrett (bass, dobro, vocals) Alan Bibey ( mandolin, vocals) and banjoist Marc Pruett — is gearing up to not only release new music, but also once again hit the road, touring majestic theaters and backwoods gatherings — all in the name of bluegrass music.

JackTown Ramblers:
JackTown Ramblers perform bluegrass, string band, swing and gypsy jazz arrangements – often all in the same set — providing an eclectic feel to their music. Powerful instrumentation and vocals are the centerpiece of their sound and the material selection pulls from a wide array of styles, artists and genres.
The band consists of Gabriel Wiseman (Mandolin & Vocals), Brett Setzer (Banjo & vocals), Mike Street (Bass & Vocals), and Steve Bradshaw (Guitar & Vocals).

Make Greenville Center for Creative Arts (GCCA) your first stop on First Friday! Located in the historic Brandon Mill complex in the creative arts district of West Greenville, GCCA is a perfect place to begin the Metropolitan Arts Council’s monthly art walk.
The Art Center is open for extended hours, 6pm to 9pm, on the first Friday of every month for First Friday activities. In addition to viewing multiple exhibitions from both locally and nationally-recognized artists, at GCCA you’ll have the opportunity to meet the resident working artists, see their studio spaces and works in progress, and learn more about their personal style and artistic process.
The mission of GCCA is to enrich the cultural fabric of the community through visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration. Founded by a dedicated group of artists, teachers, and community leaders, the Art Center offers programs for people of all ages, backgrounds, and economic circumstances.
Greenville’s Downtown Trolley (Route 903) provides visitors to the downtown area easy and free transport to the West Greenville area from July through September, every Thursday and Friday, 6pm to 11pm, and Saturdays, 5:30pm to 11pm. The flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn have a diversity of sound that will amuse, surprise and delight you. With no conductor, Chamber Music players respond to each other in real time, listening, reflecting and adapting. And the audience gets to listen in on their intimate conversation.
