Wander through the charming holiday market filled with over 35 local artisans, farmers, and craftspeople offering unique finds that will be perfect for gift-giving and holiday gatherings. You can even take home a freshly cut, Christmas tree from a local farm. Enjoy the warm, festive ambiance, sip on a rich cup of hot cocoa and shop for one-of-a-kind treasures and gifts.

Don’t miss the highlight of the evening – gather with family and friends to countdown for the lighting of the Biltmore Park Christmas tree at 6:30 pm! Experience the holiday cheer with the community, as twinkling lights illuminate the tree. The Christmas tree and the market will be surrounded by an abundance of festivities including a special holiday story time hosted by Barnes & Noble after the tree lighting, bringing joy to all ages.

A Blend Of Southern Traditions

Out of the rich roots music traditions of the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains comes the authentic sound of Fireside Collective. A band steeped in the technical proficiency of bluegrass music, their sound draws on blues, country, and folk traditions while being interpreted through the exciting instrumental interplay of an American jamband. Energetic, inspired solos featuring mandolin, dobro, and acoustic guitar are woven tastefully atop the rock-solid rhythm section of electric bass and drums. Formed in Asheville, NC in 2014, the ensemble has been winning over audiences across the country with their soaring vocals and heartfelt original music.

For over a decade, Lindsey Stirling has enchanted audiences across the globe by performing a certain spellbinding magic with her electronic violin, dreaming up an exquisitely composed yet boldly inventive sound entirely her own. On her new album Snow Waltz, the classically trained musician/songwriter/dancer/author finds herself fully in her element, sharing a selection of holiday classics and original songs that evoke intense emotion through her immersive arrangements and mesmerizing melodies. The follow-up to her debut holiday album Warmer in the Winter—a 2017 release whose hit single “Carol of the Bells” made history as the only instrumental song ever to reach the Top 10 at AC Radio—Snow Waltz emerges as a singular new entry in the holiday-music canon, once again proving Stirling’s extraordinary gift as an instrumental storyteller.

Beginner’s workshop lesson at 7:30 P.M., then 8-11 P.M. Contra Dance with Country Waltzing at the break and the final dance. This is a partner dance but it’s not necessary to come with a partner. We have different live bands and callers.

Empower Hours take place twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at 11:30 am.

The Greenville Gay Men’s Chorus will present its annual holiday show—Ding Dong: It’s A Super Gay Christmas—on Wednesday, December 3 at Greenville Theatre in Heritage Green. The 7:00 p.m. performance will be a sparkling celebration filled with holiday classics, unexpected twists, and plenty of campy cheer. It’s the most festive concert of the year!

The Spartanburg community is invited to join us on December 4, 2025, at 7:30 PM to enjoy the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols in Twichell Auditorium. The prelude will begin at 7:30 PM with the program starting at 8:00 PM.

Festival of Lessons and Carols celebrates the Christmas season with traditional carols and hymns, along with student-led scripture readings. Spartanburg Master Chorale, Converse Wind Ensemble, and Converse Chorale will perform these beloved, traditional songs between the readings. The audience will be invited to sing along in many segments of the service.

In addition to the two Christmas trees on Twichell stage, luminaries will line the front campus for the evening’s glow. Luminary submissions that are received by Friday, November 7, 2025 will be recognized during The Festival of Lessons and Carols program.

Funds collected from the sale of luminaries will be contributed to the Student Benevolence Fund.
