Join us for Lunch & Lit on Monday, September 16, featuring internationally bestselling author Jennifer Robson and her most recent book The Gown: A Novel of the Royal Wedding.

An enthralling historical novel, The Gown tells the story of one of the most famous wedding dresses of the twentieth century—Queen Elizabeth’s wedding gown—and the fascinating women who made it.
Jennifer will be on hand to talk, answer questions, and sign books, and we’ll be dining at the hands of the fabulous Chef Shaun Garcia at Soby’s (which is hardly ever open for lunch).

Tickets are $45 and include a three course lunch and a copy of The Gown.

Looking for a creative way to spend the night? Join us on September 20th at 7:00pm for an origami book folding class! Learn the proper technique to make a heart design out of the pages of a used book, and leave with the skills to try more designs on your own!

Has college application season been getting you stressed? M. Judson has got you covered! Join us in store on September 23rd at 7:00pm for a workshop with award winning author Uchechi Kalu on how to stand out in the college admissions process.

Uchechi is a college admissions consultant, and her newest release, Stand Out. Get In. Afford College, gives tips to students on how to craft applications and make a splash in the admissions pool.

Come color with us at M. Judson on Friday, September 27 at 7:00 PM! After a long week of work, what could be better than unwinding with a glass of rose, a set of colored pencils, and a zen coloring book? We’ll provide the coloring book and the wine, all you need to do is release your inner child!

Tickets are $15, and include the coloring book to bring home, and a glass of rose.

Are you looking for the fun of a book club, without adding on extra reading and deadlines to your busy student schedule? Come down to M. Judson on Sunday, September 29th at 5:00pm for our first ever Bring Your Own Book Club! This is a club that discusses whatever it is you’re reading at the moment, or join us to get a solid book review from a trusted, book-loving friend! No stress, just good reads, good friends, and good times.

Our Lunch and Lit series continues, this time with our first ever vegan luncheon, hosted at The Lazy Goat! Join us on Tuesday, October 1st to hear Tamal and Victoria Dodge talk and answer questions about their newest release, The Yoga Plate.

This collection of recipes pairs healthy, nutritious meals with daily yoga routines. You’ll find a “A Bowl Full of Yin” to help you get centered, or “Morning Meditation Smoothies” to fuel any yoga pose. We are so excited for Tamal and Victoria, two successful cooks and yoga instructors, to share their recipes and their yoga-centered way of life with us.

Who’s ready for Miss Debi? Miss Debi’s having play dates at the bookstore with her preschool friends (ages 3 or 4) from 9:15 to 10:00 am one Monday each month. Each play date includes a new book, a snack, a craft, and a lot of fun.

We’ve partnered with the Greenville Literacy Association to put on our first ever Spelling Bee for Grown Ups! Hosted by our friend Brett Barest on October 17 at 6:30, this is sure to an exciting night. Each team costs $10 to sign up, and teams can have 2-4 members.
