Could this be you? *At least 18 years old, friendly, outgoing, flexible and a good problem solver. *Have the ability to respond to neighbors in a supportive and empathic manner. *Be able to respect the confidential nature of the paperwork involved. If so, this may be your calling. Our VITA Greeters welcome the neighbors upon their arrival. During check-in, you will make sure they have the needed and completed documents for our tax preparers. You do NOT need to have any knowledge of taxes to participate in this activity.
We offer this assistance from the end of January to mid April. The weekly shifts are Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm to 8pm and Saturday from 8:30am to 1:30pm. oin Asheville author Roxy Blue for an in-store signing at Fiction Addiction on Saturday, March 23rd from 2-4pm to celebrate her new book, Fiona’s Fury.
This event is free and open to the public, or you can purchase a $18.01 ticket that includes a copy of Fiona’s Fury. Additional books can be ordered on our website or purchased at the event while supplies last.
If you’re unable to attend, signed copies of the author’s book can be purchased on our website.
Tickets can be purchased online through Friday, March 22nd at 2pm. Refunds can be requested up until the ticket cutoff. At-the-door tickets and books will be available as space allows.
Fiona Turner, CEO of Fiona’s Flowers floral shop, believes she’s in control of her life and on top of the world, until her meticulously created castles of sand begin to crumble, leaving her to choose between the man she loves and everything else she has.

About the Author:
Raised in the South and transplanted to a midwestern New Age community, Roxy Blue writes about the types of down-to-earth characters that dispel the notion of romance being rubbish. After thirteen years as an exotic dancer, she developed a rare autoimmune arthritis that gave her an excuse to settle down and focus on writing. She now lives in Asheville, NC, with the kind of hunk she likes to read about, and their two ridiculous cats.

We’re asking for volunteers to sign up for 2 to 4 shifts each, with most shifts spanning 3 to 4 hours (some may be slightly longer). Your participation will not only support GCCA but also contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of our city.

All farm volunteer hours will be held at our Sullivan Street Farm location (15 Bolt Street, Greenville, SC, 29605, look for a white and grey pavilion-like building and metal garden beds, the yellow X on the map below denotes the location where we’ll meet before getting started on tasks).
Help with greenhouse tasks such as seeding, potting up transplants, labeling/organizing plant trays. Help with urban farm tasks such as weeding, mulching, composting/fertilizing, seeding, transplanting, harvesting.
This work will take place outdoors so you should dress accordingly (layers are always a good idea) in something you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed toe shoes are required. Items like sunscreen and/or hats are helpful. Please bring a water bottle and feel free to bring snacks if you’d like.
**PLEASE NOTE: These volunteer shifts require physical labor that involves activities such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time. We also may use tools such as drills, hammers, shovels, wheelbarrows, etc. Please be prepared to work hard and have some fun!**
**PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept volunteers aged 12 or younger. Additionally, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or supervising adult.**

Join The People’s Tap on the evening of March 27th for their Silent Book Club!
Arrive at 6:30pm to settle in, grab a beverage, find the perfect spot, and begin your literary journey. Silent reading is from 7-8pm. Option to stay after to keep reading or to socialize with fellow book lovers.
Whether you’re a fan of fiction, non-fiction, or anything in between, all books are welcome as you come together to embrace the simple pleasure of reading.
