Do you have a gardening question? Looking to get that mystery plant identified? Need pruning advice? The North Carolina Arboretum is proud to introduce its newest educational series, “Ask the Gardener.” Every Monday from 9 a.m. – 12 noon, April through October, gardening experts will be on-site in the Arboretum’s Library, located upstairs in the Education Center, to help members and visitors address both common and unique gardening and landscape questions. The Arboretum’s extensive resource book collection will also be available for use by participants. The program is free, however, donations to The North Carolina Arboretum Society are welcomed.

Ever want to meet Green Deane but he never seems to come to your neck of the woods?
Monday, August 27th, 1624 Taylor Road, Honea Path, South Carolina. Mark Monday, August 27th, on your calendar. Green Deane will have a free foraging class in Honea Path, South Carolina, at the Putney Farm, 1624 Taylor Road. The foraging begins at 10 a.m., rain or shine (except hurricanes.) All of Green Deane’s classes are hands on, walking outside. Wild edible plants, medicinals and perhaps a mushroom or two will be on the agenda (as Green Deane is in the Carolinas that week studying local mushrooms.) Join us for our monthly Homeschool program. For ages 10-12 or those in 5th or 6th grade are welcome to attend. Wreck This Journal is a new way of art and journal-making. Discover fun ways to escape the fear of a blank page and engage in the creative process. Write, draw, scribble, paint or destroy your journal. Journals will be provided. Sign-up is required.
With our summer exhibition, “Once Upon a Time: Exploring the World of Fairy Tales,” we will be showing fairy tale classics for our Monday Matinees at the Museum! Catch “Into the Woods” on Monday, August 27 at 2pm.

Keep up a healthy lifestyle as you exercise 30 minutes of low-impact cardiovascular exercise followed by 30 minutes of gentle yoga taught by Spartanburg Regional nurse, DJ Liner. Charge for the class is $2.00 per person and open to adults 18+.

We will be hosting a FREE Meet-The-Coach event at the TD Stage on Monday, August 27 from 5:30-7:30 pm! (The event will be held at Wyche Pavilion in case of inclement weather.)
John Harkes will join team president Chris Lewis for a Q&A session before meeting with fans for pictures and autographs. In addition, we will be selling merchandise and taking Season Ticket Priority Deposits!
