On exhibit Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m., Rocky Cove Railroad is a G-Scale (garden scale) model train that demonstrates the coming of trains to western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibit is located below the Grand Promenade. Please note, Rocky Cove Railroad will not operate in rainy or wet conditions.

The YWCA Racial Justice Workshop is open to our entire YWCA Asheville community – including our staff, volunteers, board, donors, program participants, Fitness Center and community members. This 90-minute workshop will take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am and will be facilitated by Gerry Leonard, Racial Justice & Outreach Specialist and Lexus Walker, Tzedek Social Justice Fellow.

This weekly music series on Main Street at NOMA Square opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m., with bands playing two sets at 5:50 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. NOMA Square chairs go fast, so bring a tailgating chair if you are not arriving early.

Set sail on a season of breathtaking music with a concert that sweeps from the stormy seas to the grandeur of the opera stage. Rossini’s William Tell Overture launches the evening with cinematic energy, followed by Amy Beach’s Bal Masqué, a dazzling orchestral dance. Acclaimed baritone Kenneth Overton joins us once again for selections from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni, bringing wit, drama, and passion to these operatic masterpieces. Finally, Debussy’s La Mer immerses us in the ever-shifting beauty of the sea, painting an orchestral canvas of movement and light. With sweeping melodies, captivating drama, and a touch of the unexpected, this season opener promises an evening where music dances, waves crash, and imagination soars. Empower Hours take place twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at 11:30 am.
