Join us as the Science Center teams up with Partners for Active Living to host a Fall Leaf Hike at the Drayton Mills Trail! Adult admission is $2 per person and children under 12 years old are FREE! Join us for the opening of the new exhibit, “Merry Christmas Charlie Brown!” Since it’s still a little early for a Christmas celebration, we are going to welcome Snoopy to the Museum to see our other exhibit, “Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice.” Meet Snoopy for yourself and tell him your favorite dinosaur!
We will have games and crafts and, of course, story time. Come out and take part in the fun! It is ALL included with your general admission.

A Celebration of Creativity, Community & Commerce.
Join us for the 9th annual GCA’s Fall Festival & Holiday Market! We are a family-friendly, community-focused event held on Nov 3, 2018 from 10am – 3pm, featuring 85 vendors, concessions & an awesome KidZone. Event entrance is free of charge, but donations for education are appreciated! Parking on campus is for HANDICAPPED VISITORS ONLY! All other parking will be next door at Woodruff Place and at Advent Methodist where a free shuttle will be available to the event. Uncle Berto’s Burritos will provide food and our Greenville Classical Academy Moms out do themselves at The Sweet Shop!! Bring the whole family & plan to stay! The Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum proudly hosts famed movie scriptwriter, Angelo Pizzo, who is penning the true story of Shoeless Joe Jackson for the screen. Known as the “go-to guy” for sports movies, Angelo has written such fan favorite classics as “Rudy”, “Hoosiers” and “My All-American.”

This course is offered as part of the N.C. Office of Environmental Education’s Environmental Educator Certification Programs. These adult programs are free of charge, and admission to the park is complimentary for those that are attending the course. The workshops will be at high elevation (> 4500 ft) and will include some walking, so please bring appropriate footwear and be prepared for inclement weather. Participants are asked to provide their own lunch, but there is a restaurant on site (Mildred’s Grill) in the Nature Museum.

On Saturday November 3rd at Carrier Park in Asheville, SOAR and the western North Carolina community will join together to help bring awareness to ADHD at SOAR’s Eagle Run 5k. All proceeds from the event will go to SOAR’s scholarship fund and directly to the youth and young adults that we serve. Each year SOAR provides meaningful outdoor experiences to students through scholarship assistance. This would not be possible without the support of our community, alumni, and families.
