Enjoy a visit to Christmas pasts from the 1840s to the 1890s. Each room contains antique and reproduction decorations and traditions. Four live trees, one of which will be decorated with traditional Appalachian decorations, hand made by our SMH over History club.
Admission at the door $9 adults, $5 children/students, free for WNC Historical Association members and A-B Tech students.

This is because its just too confusing and a lot more of a problem then it needs to be. If your answers are yes, then please join us for this worksHula helped me nearly 30 years ago to heal my heart, mind and spirit from emotional and physical trauma I experienced early in my life, and has continued to help me since then. I am so happy to be able to share this with other women, especially with all that is happening in the world around us today.

In this workshop, you will learn the history of Hula as ancient storytelling, the basic Hula steps, hand movements, the Hawaiian words and terminology used in Hula and a simple hula. This workshop stands alone and is also foundation to move more easily into the ongoing Basic Classes.

Taught by Kaleo Wheeler

Location: The River House at the Glendale Shoals in East Spartanburg SC.

The head instructor and leader of Team Alliance at the Sao Paulo head quarters, Fabio Gurgel was also one of the best jiu jitsu competitors of his generation with many important titles to his name, such as World Champion, Brazilian National champion and European Open champion. In 2010 Fabio Gurgel put his name on the BJJ record book when he competed and won the European Open, one of the top events in the jiu jitsu calender, at the age of 40, just a few months after he celebrated his 20th year as a jiu jitsu black belt.

On exhibit Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 4 p.m., Rocky Cove Railroad is a G-Scale (garden scale) model train that demonstrates the coming of trains to western North Carolina at the turn of the 20th century. The exhibit is located below the Grand Promenade. Please note, Rocky Cove Railroad will not operate in rainy or wet conditions.
