Iliana Rose is a fantastic musician. Born in Miami and raised by Cuban parents and grandparents she is steeped in Cuban rhythms and culture. Being a genuine prodigy she started playing music at the age of four. After years of classical and jazz training, she graduated from the prestigious University of Miami as well as the National Piano Guild with performance degrees.
She moved to Los Angeles and formed her band, “The Iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band” and worked with some of the finest musicians in the industry. Iliana was the musical director for several projects spanning multiple genres and for four years Iliana was the pianist and musical director on the national T.V. show Noches Con Platanito.
An international touring and recording artist, she composes music for films and arranges songs for bands of all sizes and genres and travels the country as a guest clinician and student leadership specialist.

We have nearly 150 Route Partners who deliver meals regularly to our homebound clients. Learn more about this program now!
OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
MEAL PACKAGING
We need volunteers to pack nearly 1,500 meals every Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until approximately 10:00 a.m. The food is prepared by our kitchen staff and set-up in an assembly line for packaging.
PET FOOD PACKAGING
Meals on Wheels also strives to help the pets of the homebound in Greenville. We need volunteers to package dog and cat food for monthly distribution and to organize pet food drives.
MEAL DISTRIBUTION
Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from 10:30 until 12 pm to greet in-coming volunteers, hand out route sheets and answer questions.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Our annual events are great fundraising opportunities. They’re also a lot of fun, whether you get involved as a participant, committee member, volunteer or corporate sponsor.
Eliada’s 2024 Fall Festival & Corn Maze will be open from Friday, September 20th through Sunday, October 27th on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Fridays: 3 pm – 7 pm | Saturdays: 10 am – 7 pm | Sundays: 10 am – 6 pm

Into the Mythic is an exploration of mythological paradigms, tropes, and characters through the lens of theatrical fusion dance. The Creature Feature will kick off the spookiest month of the year, celebrating mythological characters through dance and music. Join us for a fabulous event at the Artistry Gallery on October 5th for an evening you will not forget!
Dance performances throughout the evening from the niad dance company and friends. Live music from Morgan of the Pines, southern gothic folk, and Adam Murphree of Wasted Wine presenting Spooky Tales of South Carolina. Participate in our costume contest, watch the Witch’s Dance flash mob, and thrill in our fire dancers, then break out your dancing shoes and join in the fun for the Halloween after party dance party!
We will have We Got the Beets food truck, face painting, and beer and wine all available for purchase at the event. So, grab your tickets, put on your spookiest or most fantastical gear, and come out for A Creature Feature!
Known for her innovative approach to traditional music and her ability to seamlessly integrate diverse musical styles, Min Xiao-Fen will perform with master percussionist River Guerguerian, a leading figure in classical, jazz, and world music. Together, they bring a unique cross-cultural expression and artistic vision to the stage. Both films will be shown during the performance.

Three different composers capture the essence of Spain: Emmanuel Chabrier’s rhapsodic España opens the program, Nicolai Rimsky-Korasakov’s Capriccio espagñol is an exciting showcase for the orchestra, and Édouard Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole features the brilliant SooBean Lee, violin. Based on the hit DreamWorks animated film, SHREK THE MUSICAL is a hilarious fairy tale adventure with a cast of vibrant characters and a ‘shrek-tacular’ score that’s perfect for the young and the young-at-heart! Our unlikely hero finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and the feisty Princess Fiona who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude, and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand…and his name is Shrek. It’s not easy being green, but this irreverently fun musical proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre!
The YWCA Racial Justice Workshop is open to our entire YWCA Asheville community – including our staff, volunteers, board, donors, program participants, Fitness Center and community members. This 90-minute workshop will take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am and will be facilitated by Gerry Leonard, Racial Justice & Outreach Specialist and Lexus Walker, Tzedek Social Justice Fellow.
