Join us for Empower Hour, a one-hour program and facility tour where you will experience firsthand the YWCA’s work to bridge gaps in earning power, education, health & wellness and access to childcare.
Empower Hours take place twice a month on the first and third Tuesday at 11:30 am.
Lunch is served as part of our Empower Hour, so reservations are required.

GARDEN TOURS
The doggos are taking over the Yard! Dog parents, dog-friendly business owners, dog-based non-profits–basically dog enthusiasts of every stripe–are descending on FR8yard every 1st and 3rd Wednesday this Spring for live music, awesome eats & drinks, and more! We’ll issue you a $5 PUP BUCK just for bringing out your four-legged-friends … and proceeds from our special Pooch Hooch Cocktails, courtesy of Tito’s, will be benefitting the Spartanburg Humane Society. America’s favorite coffee chain announced today the return of Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day on Thursday, June 20 – the first day of summer. Celebrated once a year, $1 from every iced coffee sold at participating Dunkin’ locations will be donated to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation – making every sip count.
To celebrate Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is hosting a series of special “Painting with Joy” events in partnership with hospitals across the country. These events aim to bring joy to patients and their families through art therapy while raising awareness of Dunkin’s annual Iced Coffee Day fundraiser.
The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable foundation supported by Dunkin’, provides the simple joys of childhood to kids battling hunger or illness. The Foundation partners with food banks, children’s hospitals and nonprofit organizations to fund joyful environments and joyful experiences for kids when they need it most. Since 2006, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation has granted more than $50 million to hundreds of national and local charities across the country thanks to the generosity of its franchisees, guests, vendor partners and employees. The beauty of the waterfalls and gardens is enhanced by the graceful lines of the Liberty Bridge’s architecture and the appealing stonework throughout the park. But that is only the beginning. Several pieces of public art can be found within and around the park. Inside the park you’ll find:
- The sculpture “Rose Crystal Tower,” created by internationally-renowned artist Dale Chihuly, was commissioned by the Wyche Sculpture Committee, comprised of Wyche family members and friends, to honor Harriet Wyche, whom the garden was named for. Wyche was a life-long Greenville resident and community volunteer, who was instrumental in establishing Falls Park, and played a critical role in its continued development over many decades.
- A commissioned sculpture by internationally-recognized artist Bryan Hunt, is found at the Main Street entrance to Falls Park. This unique sculpture, Falls Lake Falls, is the second in an edition of 3 (the original is in Tokyo ) and the only piece of its kind on this continent.
- Evoking much thought and discussion, “Untitled 2002-2003” by Joel Shapiro is also commonly referred to as the dancing or running sculpture. It is located across the river from the main entrance, at the Wyche, Burgess, Freeman and Parham overlook.
- “Sunflower Fountain,” created by Ed Zeigler, Charles Gunning and Robert Brown, can be found in Pedrick’s Garden. Named for Pedrick Lowrey, one of the principal fundraiser for the park, the fountain is cast bronze and patterned after the center radiating spirals of a sunflower, which was Pedrick’s favorite flower.

GARDEN TOURS
Join Sigal Music Museum for its monthly afternoon tea on June 20, 2024, at 3:00 in the afternoon. Held in the museum, the event will feature savories, sweets, and other fancies! Reserve a table and bring your friends for an afternoon at the museum. Tickets for tea include the price of admission to the museum, so you are invited to explore their exhibits before or after the event.
A seat for tea is $25.00 per person or $100.00 to reserve a four-person table. Seating is limited to 20 maximum (5 tables). Due to our limited capacity, please note that reservations will not be held until payment has been received.
