An evening of skits and standup
You can catch stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, Fortune Feimster, on the radio, on screens both big and small, and touring her stand-up across the nation. Fortune Feimsterâs first one-hour special, SWEET & SALTY, is currently streaming on Netflix and was nominated for Best Comedy Special for the Criticsâ Choice Awards. Prior to her one-hour special, Netflix released Feimsterâs half-hour special in 2018 as part of THE STANDUPS, which received rave reviews. She has done late night TV sets on CONAN and LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS and has another acclaimed half hour special on Comedy Central.
Beginning her career in Los Angeles as a member of the prestigious Groundlings Sunday Company, Fortune Feimster first became known nationally as a writer and panelist on Eâs hit show CHELSEA LATELY before starring as a series regular on Huluâs THE MINDY PROJECT and NBCâs CHAMPIONS. She has gone on to have many guest appearances and recurring roles on TV shows including RU PAULâS DRAG RACE, DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, DRUNK HISTORY, CLAWS, 2 BROKE GIRLS, WORKAHOLICS, GLEE, IDIOTSITTER, TALES OF THE CITY, THE L WORD: GENERATION Q, LIFE IN PIECES and @MIDNIGHT. On the film side, you can catch Fortune in OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY, SOCIAL ANIMALS, FATHER OF THE YEAR, and YES DAY. You may recognize her voice from TV, in roles including Evelyn on THE SIMPSONS, Brenda on Foxâs BLESS THE HARTS, and Ava on Cartoon Networkâs SUMMER CAMP.
Fortune can currently be heard every morning with Tom Papa on Sirius XMâs channel 93 on their show, WHAT A JOKE WITH PAPA AND FORTUNE. She also hosts a weekly podcast with her partner, Jax, called SINCERELY FORTUNE. Feimster frequently recurred on LIGHTS OUT WITH DAVID SPADE on Comedy Central and is currently starring opposite David Spade on the new Netflix series, THE NETFLIX AFTERPARTY. You can catch her playing Pam on NBCâs KENAN or Pinky in the recently released BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR. Along with co-writing and selling two comedy pilots to ABC, the latter of which is produced by Tina Fey, Fortune co-wrote and is attached to star in two features, BAD COP BAD COP and FIELD TRIP, both of which were acquired by Spielbergâs Amblin Pictures.

Are you ready for some football? The 2023 season kicks off on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Indigo Hall as Hope Center for Children celebrates our 12th Annual Tailgate Trot! Wear your favorite team gear and join us for some fun including:
- Live music from the Carolina Coast Band
- Silent Auction
- Raffles
- Delicious food and drinks
- Tailgate games
- Cornhole for a Cause Tournament (additional entry fee, see below for more info)

Cornhole for a Cause Tournament
Get your bag-tossing muscles ready! During the Tailgate Trot event, weâll feature a Cornhole for a Cause Tournament to raise money for our HCFC Fund-a-Need. PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to participate, the entry fee is $30 (in addition to the cost of your Tailgate event ticket).
The Cornhole for a Cause Tournament will be managed by Caitlyn Colson, Certified Ambassador of the American Cornhole Association. It will be a blind draw for teams and prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams. All proceeds benefit Hope Center for Children. View the American Cornhole Associationâs Official Rules.

Proceeds from the event will support Hope Center for Childrenâs residential programs protecting children in foster care and our community-based child abuse prevention programming.
Are you ready for some football?
On Friday, August 11th, Hope Center for Children will turn Indigo Hall into the ultimate tailgate party with its Twelfth Annual Tailgate Trot. Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Guests must be 21 or older. Your participation will support our vitally important work to Protect Children & Support Families.
Admission is $75 per person. Group discounts are available.

This year’s Tailgate Trot will host the American Cornhole Association’s Cornhole-for-a-Cause competition and other games and feature special guests, a silent auction, raffles, food stations, beer and wine, and signature tailgate cocktails. The well-known Carolina Coast Band will provide live music.
So, get out your favorite team jersey, invite your friends, and celebrate the new football season at the 12th annual Tailgate Trot!

Local band The Grateful Brothers announces their upcoming benefit concert in support of the nonprofit organization Loaves & Fishes. The event will take place on September 15th at The Radio Room, one of the city’s premier live music venues. Doors will open at 7:00
PM, with the show starting at 8:00 PM.
Proudly presented by The Radio Room Greenville, this yearâs lineup includes The Grateful Brothers, and Matt Fassas Trip.
The Grateful Brothers is a highly regarded band known for their captivating performances paying homage to two legendary rock bands, the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers. This special concert will showcase their exceptional musical talent while raising funds and awareness for a worthy cause.
Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the show starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets available now. $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
