Join the fun and decorate your entries to reflect Santa’s Workshop A Toyland Christmas! Remember, Santa is ONLY on the last float in the parade! The Greer Christmas Parade route is 1.1 miles; beginning at Poinsett Street & Memorial Drive and ending at N. Main Street & Cunningham Drive.
$50 Non-Commercial/Organization/Non-Profit registration

ALL entries & fees must be received or postmarked by the day before Thanksgiving (November 23rd). Entries & fees received/postmarked after this date will be assessed the $50 late entry fee.
We will have several awards determined by our judges: Best Float Entry, Best Walking Entry, and Best Band. 2021 Best Float was Mack Lindsey Grading/Lindsey Plantation, 2021 Best Walking Entry was The Brass Beard Barbershop, and 2021 Best Band was Riverside High School Bands. They each get bragging rights & a free entry for the 2022 Greer Christmas Parade!
BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR!! We will be incorporating a toy drive INTO the parade. We are asking for new toys to be brought to the parade to help support the Greer Relief Christmas Morning Shoppe, click here for more information on the program.

Join us for a Halloween Laser Show before two Starry Nights in October.
– Tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable
– The lobby and planetarium will be open 30 minutes before the show begins.
– Guests are strongly encouraged to wear masks.
– Please be sure to have your eTicket (printed or electronic). Tickets will need to be scanned upon entry.
– No entry after the laser show begins; please arrive early
– Laser shows contain bright, flashing lights that may cause discomfort to those with light sensitivity or other pre-existing conditions

Get ready for a special kind of history tour! The State Museum’s is offering a “Dark History Tour” exploring a variety of infamous and legendary tales throughout South Carolina’s history. Discover the true story of Columbia’s catacombs, a series of mysterious tunnels that were built to hide anything from politicians to Confederate gold. Hear stories from Gullah Geechee folklore that are sure to chill you to the bone, and learn about the path General Sherman took during his march through Columbia.
Guests may take an educator led guided tour experience at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each Saturday in October (capacity is limited). A self-guided experience is also available every day with panels at each ‘stop’ and even a few multi media components available through scanning QR codes on your mobile device.
Suitable for ages 12 and up, this tour is sure to complement your museum visit this Halloween!
