City to Host Vendor Networking Event on March 11th for Trade Businesses

With the goal of expanding its current vendor pool, the City of Greenville encourages trade businesses to attend an upcoming Vendor Networking Event. Attendees can meet the staff who will do the hiring at the City of Greenville.

The City of Greenville’s Purchasing Division will host a vendor networking event on Tuesday, March 11, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, at the City’s Public Works campus located at 475 Fairforest Way, Greenville, SC 29607. Staff will present opportunities for small, local, minority and women-owned businesses to pitch their services to the City departments that frequently need and solicit business.

Representatives from various City departments will be in attendance to communicate current and future service needs and to provide interested vendors with opportunities to connect and educate us on what they have to offer. The City representatives will be the actual people that solicit services and interact with vendors in conducting City business.

Staff recommends creating a summary document that highlights the services you provide, your experience with any other government agencies, services that connect with common City needs, any special offerings that make you unique, as well as an assessment of your current availability and capacity for related projects. The City’s Purchasing Division will be available to answer any questions and to provide resources.

All interested vendors are welcome. For this event, we are specifically looking to connect with businesses that provide skilled trades and related services, including, but not limited to:

  • Carpentry
  • Carpet Cleaning
  • Concrete
  • Electrical
  • Fencing
  • General Contracting
  • HVAC
  • Landscaping
  • Painting
  • Plumbing
  • Pressure Washing
