As part of the ongoing improvements being made in Timmons Park, the park will be closed through the end of this week to allow the city’s contractor to replace the stormwater pipes under the asphalt in the parking lot.
To minimize the impact on park users, this work was intentionally scheduled to take place after the Greenville Little League season ended and during a week when there were no rentals on the calendar.
Additionally, the City of Greenville is awaiting its final audit on the new playground equipment and expects to reopen the playground in early August.
