Rock ‘N Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive

Classic Rock 101.1, 93.3 The Planet, and The Blood Connection are coming together again for the 14th annual Rock ‘N Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive, the Upstate’s largest blood drive.

To keep summer blood supply levels up, WROQ-FM Classic Rock 101.1 and WTPT-FM 93.3 The Planet will encourage radio listeners to donate blood at designated locations now through Saturday, July 21st. Each donor will receive a commemorative t-shirt and be entered into a drawing for a pair of Planet Birthday Bash tickets to see Godsmack and Shinedown at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on September 21st, a pair of tickets to see Journey and Def Leppard at Colonial Life Arena on August 15th, or a signed 5 Finger Death Punch guitar.

This lifesaving tradition continues to bridge the gap in blood donations recognized as the 100 Deadly Days of Summer–Memorial Day through Labor Day–named for the high number of tragic automobile accidents. Donors can donate blood at the following times and locations.

Every day, accident victims, patients with cancer, blood disorders, sickle cell disease and other illnesses need lifesaving transfusions. TBC’s mission is to ensure all hospital partners have the blood supplies needed for patients at any given time. Blood donors must be healthy, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be 17 years old or 16 with written parental consent. TBC encourages both whole blood and platelet donations.
