Information

We are so excited to host a conversation between Katrice Hardy, the executive editor of The Greenville News, and Wanda Lloyd, author of Coming Full Circle: From Jim Crow to Journalism on Monday, February 24th at 7:00pm.

Wanda is a former managing editor of The Greenville News, and is here to share her inspirational and groundbreaking story. Her memoir Coming Full Circle: From Jim Crow to Journalism shows the interaction between race, gender, power, and media as Wanda grew up in the Jim Crow Era South, and eventually became one of the first African American women to be a top editor of mainstream daily newspaper in America.

Wanda has since gotten her honorary doctorate from Spelman College, and was recently inducted into the National Association of Black Journalists Hall of Fame.

We are so excited to have these two incredibly accomplished women in store to speak, and will have copies of Coming Full Circle: From Jim Crow to Journalism on hand for purchase.
