Current Girls on the Run program participants DO NOT need to register for the 5K. Program registration includes entry into the 5K.
Please determine if you are running as a Running Buddy or a Community 5K member:
Running Buddy* Categories:
If you are an adult (over 16 years old) and are running with a GOTR girl (or team) to help guide and motivate her through the event select ‘Running Buddy’
(Ex: Parent running alongside GOTR girl participant. Family friend running alongside GOTR girl participant. Teacher running to support school’s GOTR team.)
If you are registering someone 15 years old or younger to run alongside a GOTR girl or team select ‘Jr. Running Buddy.’
(Ex. Younger sibling running alongside GOTR girl participant. Best friend running to support her friend participating in GOTR. GOTR alumni under 15 years old running to support their old GOTR team.)
*Note: Every GOTR Girl is required to have at least one registered Running Buddy (16 years or older) to run alongside her at the event. All Running Buddies must be invited/appointed by GOTR girl’s primary caretaker. All unfamiliar Running Buddies will be subjected to a background check.
Community Runners:
If you are a community member not attached to a specific GOTR girl or team select ‘Community 5K’.
(Ex: Community member supporting GOTR Upstate SC with no relation to a particular GOTR girl.)
