THE BREAD: ENGLISH MUFFINS
“This is an adaptation of the English Muffin recipe in Tartine Bread. Our head baked, Jen, created wonderful recipe, which has a light, moist, and tender interior that slices easily and an open-textured crumb to hold butter and jam. The key to making muffins with the lightest texture is to handle the dough as little as possible and not skimp on the rise time.”
THE BOOK
TARTINE: A CLASSIC REVISITED by Elisabeth Prueitt & Chad Robertson
This brilliantly revisited and beautifully re-photographed baking book is a totally updated edition of a go-to classic for home and professional bakers—from one of the most acclaimed and inspiring bakeries in the world. More than 150 drop-dead gorgeous photographs from acclaimed team Gentl + Hyers make this baking and pastry book a true collectible compendium and must-have for bakers of all skill levels.
Gather with your community for a FREE tasty meal, lessons on healthy eating and information on Double Up Food Bucks (a new program through SNAP)! Community Dinners are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6 – 7:30 pm. FREE childcare provided.

BOOK SUMMARY
A husband’s disappearance links two couples in this twisty thriller from New York Times bestselling author Mary Kubica.
Jake Hayes is missing. This much is certain. At first, his wife, Nina, thinks he is blowing off steam at a friend’s house after their heated fight the night before. But then a day goes by. Two days. Five. And Jake is still nowhere to be found.
Lily Scott, Nina’s friend and coworker, thinks she may have been the last to see Jake before he went missing. After Lily confesses everything to her husband, Christian, the two decide that nobody can find out what happened leading up to Jake’s disappearance, especially not Nina. But Nina is out there looking for her husband, and she won’t stop until the truth is discovered.
