So excited to welcome this local singer/songwriter back to Sweet Sippin’…. Tyler is one of our longest playing musicians and if you’ve never heard him play you’re missing out! Smooth, rich vocals paired with great musicianship on the guitar… You’ll swear you’ve heard his original music on the radio by night’s end!
So gather the gang and head on down – the beer is cold and the wine is waiting!

Friday, May 3 Foxfire Revival ~ Foxfire Revival is a four-piece folk outfit with an Appalachian stringband feel that brings a variety of sounds from traditional instruments such as harmonica, banjo, mandolin, and cello. Motivated by the spirit of the Foxfire series of North Georgia, the Athens-based band was born in 2016 out of a weekly gathering of friends seeking to revive certain old-fashioned crafts from times gone by. Together these friends – Austin Hall, Jordan Burbage, David Henry, and Brock Beisel – seek to celebrate and share with others their collective love for adventure, a good story, and Appalachian culture through the music they create. Foxfire Revival takes cues from the likes of Mipso, Nickel Creek, The Avett Brothers, and Gregory Alan Isakov.

Join Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra as they present an all-new composition for orchestra and dance by Wynton Marsalis titled ‘Spaces.’ While Wynton Marsalis does not appear in this performance, his masterful composition will be the highlight of the evening!
Spaces combines modern dance with big band jazz in a playful and wildly entertaining exploration of the animal kingdom. Performed for the first time (to sold-out crowds) in 2016, this visually captivating Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra production has just recently be featured on touring dates. Each of Spaces’ ten movements corresponds to a different animal, from “King Lion” to “Bees, Bees, Bees,” offering a dazzling array of sights and sounds that express the diversity, humor, and quirky majesty found in nature.
For this performance, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will be joined by Bessie Award-winning ‘jookin’ dance artist Myles Yachts and Broadway triple threat tap artist Jared Grimes—reprising their roles, leaping, sliding, flipping, and tap dancing across the stage.

Crooning voices, soulful guitars, and rollicking pianos bring heartfelt lyrics and magical melodies to life in the brand-new Peace Voices Songwriters Concert Series. Led by Greenville favorite Edwin McCain and accomplished songwriter Maia Sharp, each concert brings a new guest singer-songwriter to the Upstate for a one-of-kind performance. Join us this season in Genevieve’s theater lounge for this intimate listening room experience.
David Wilcox
“Fueled by brilliantly articulate guitar, an honestly pretty baritone, and deft lyrics, David Wilcox combines the best of both pop and modern folk aesthetics” (The Boston Globe). Considered a songwriter’s songwriter, Wilcox was first inspired to play the guitar in college and is now 20 records into a career marked by personal revelation and wildly loyal fans. “He can carry any issue of significance to him straight into a listeners heart” (LA Weekly), and he takes audiences on a musical journey that is “compelling and richly deserving of a listen” (Rolling Stone).
Edwin McCain
Called the “great American romantic” by The New York Times, Edwin McCain has built an enviable career over the past 20 years. His enduring love songs and wedding must-haves “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask For More” have become two of the biggest love songs in the history of pop music. 2018 marks the 20th year of the hugely popular “I’ll Be,” which topped the Billboard charts in 1998 and has proven to be a timeless classic over the past two decades. After recording his mega hits and experiencing the success that comes with a television show (Flipping Ships), McCain now performs upwards of 100 shows annually throughout the US.
Maia Sharp
Maia Sharp wears many hats. She has had her songs recorded by The Dixie Chicks, Bonnie Raitt, Trisha Yearwood, Keb’ Mo’, Cher, Edwin McCain, and Art Garfunkel. She produced McCain’s album Mercy Bound and, most recently, two songs for Garfunkel’s retrospective double album, The Singer. Sharp has six solo releases, and her latest duo project is Roscoe & Etta, with writing/production partner Anna Schulze. Each release has led to extensive touring throughout the US and UK, and appearances on Mountain Stage, Acoustic Cafe, World Cafe, NPR’s All Things Considered, CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today.

One of our favorite and most talked about acts is back! You don’t want to miss The Resonant Rogues when they hit the stage Friday May 3rd, 2019 @ 8 PM!
The Resonant Rogues is the songwriting soul child of partners Sparrow and Keith Smith. The pair met in Asheville in the Autumn of 2012, and their instant spark lit a blaze that could not be contained. Since then, they have dedicated their lives to crafting and sharing their music with the world, touring extensively across the US and Europe. The Resonant Rogues are difficult to define, but easy to enjoy. With a passion for folk music that spans continents and oceans, these songwriters bring a new relevance to old styles. The Rogues weave the threads of European, Middle Eastern, and American folk music together into a beautiful tapestry that simultaneously showcases tradition and innovation.
“American folk music has always had a populist perspective, a vision of music made by the people, for the people. Asheville, North Carolina roots band The Resonant Rogues know this well, for they’ve traveled the byways and highways of America, even crossed the water to Europe and the Mediterranean with instruments and songs in tow. Anchored by the songwriting duo Sparrow and Keith Smith, the Rogues have shared songs with train-hoppers in New Orleans, busked on the streets of Budapest, learned Turkish Romani dance in Istanbul, and marched in protest in the hills of Appalachia. Throughout, the stories they’ve heard and the people they’ve met have fueled their music, which abounds with influences like Eastern European Romani brass bands, New Orleans street jazz, old-time stringbands, Woody Guthrie anti-fascist folk, French jazz manouche, and Middle Eastern rhythms.”
